Washington – Dozens of people gathered outside the DC Police headquarters on Friday to protest the acquisition of President Donald Trump to the City Police, promising to fight against the efforts of their administration to intimidate residents flooding the city with federal agents of the law.
“Every day, at eight o’clock, until these terrorists leave our streets, we want people to go out of their door … just stop and for five minutes, just make noise,” Nee Nee Nee Taylor of Free DC, a campaign focused on protecting the right of DC to self -government, told the crowd, to greetings.
“Making noise is resistance!” Taylor said. “Making noise is freedom!”
It is day four of the deployment of federal Trump agents throughout the city to supposedly highlight the DC crime, which is at a minimum of 30 years. Beyond the various types of federal officers who patrol the streets, which has so far led to the control points on the roads and the camps of homeless people who are clearing, Trump has also taken advantage of the control of the local police.
The president can do this for 30 days under the Law of the Interior. However, the Attorney General of DC on Friday presented an emergency intervention in the courtclaiming that Trump is illegally abusing his authority under this law.
Friday’s protest included a diverse mixture of furious residents about what Trump is doing to the city. The families were there, along with retirees and young people. Some people were also from other states, having led to protesting what is happening in DC, partly because they fear Trump do the same in the cities of their states.

Beth, a resident of DC of decades, had finger puppets that were small hands with small wives, along with a home sign with a message for Trump: “Keep your small hands outside our city.” A retiree said he decided to come to Friday’s protest because he is angry at the “acquisition of Trump of our city.”
When asked if this is the scariest moment he has been in DC, she responded quickly: “I don’t want to say scared, because I am not afraid. I would say it is worrying.”
While there were about 150 people in this protest, who moved from the police headquarters to the nearby court where the case of DC Attorney General, Beth said he did not understand why more people did not protest. He mentioned having friends in Virginia with whom he discusses the need to take measures against what Trump is doing, but they are mostly complacent.
“I hope to see so many young people here,” he added.
Several people carried signs with messages such as “Maintain DC Free” and “Blondage. An assistant held a large American flag upside down, a recognized relief signal, with a message below for DC police officers:” Bondi’s order is illegal. He is not obliged to follow him. “
Taylor, the free DC organizing director, urged people to stay safe and at the same time take measures every day Trump occupies the city.
“Honestly, all of you, we need to resist in a safe way at this time,” he told the crowd. “This is a message for our youth: they love you. They love you. So I advise you not to walk in pairs because walking in pairs is a crime at this time, unfortunately.”
“It’s called walking while you are young and black with a couple of your friends,” Taylor added. “That is the name of that illegal law.”

Keya Chatterjee, executive director of Free DC, said that the excuses that the Trump administration is offering for its “hostile acquisition of DC” make no sense.
“So, the reason they want to take care of DC is because authoritarian always want to silence dissent,” Chatterjee said. “Are we going to let them do that?”
“No!” He shouted at the crowd in response.
Carol, a retirement from the north of the state of New York, led DC on Thursday to participate in protests that occur in the city. She said that her late father, who served abroad in the army, would be “turning in his grave” because of the way Trump was militarizing DC
“When he grew up, we were dealing with the Holocaust and all that,” he said, talking about the emergence of the Nazis in Germany. “I remember that generation and this generation, people said we would never return to that again. It is happening again … we have to stop it now.”
Several DC police officers were on the scene, monitoring the event. An officer, who requested anonymity, said that he and other officers do not know who is in charge of his department at this time and that there has been no guidance.
