Eva Mendes is full of pride over her husband Ryan Gosling, whose public impulse last year for the Oscars to create a new category for acrobatics that were worth it on Thursday, when the Motion Arts and Film Academy officially announced it.

The Gosling Integral Campaign involved hilarious public appearances and viral publications on social networks. His film “The Fall Guy” (2024) focused on a specialist using his abilities to survive a criminal conspiracy and also served as a tribute to the community.

On Thursday, the Oscars announced a new launch category in 2028: Design of Acrobatics.

“My man is the best f!” Mendes wrote on Friday on Instagram. “Unfortunately, success is almost only measured by the box office. So I am very proud of my man for turning his entire autumn press tour into a campaign to obtain acrobatics recognized by the Oscar.”

“And now, after almost 100 years of acrobatics design, it is not recognized by the Academy, it is officially a category!” She continued. “This is a great success! And an achievement that will last. Congratulations to the incredible community of acrobatics!”

While some users of social networks reacted with frustration, and are understandably mourning that the pioneers of the Hollywood tricks such as Buster Keaton and Jackie Chan never win the prize they deserve the most, Oscar’s new category is being held largely.

In the announcement on Thursday, the CEO of the Academy, Bill Kramer, and the president of the Academy, Janet Yang, said that “the design of acrobatics has been an integral part of the cinema” since the dawn of the cinema and congratulated the community of acrobatics for “reaching this transcendental occasion.”

Gosling certainly helped effort with a list of promotional appearances last year.

The actor nominated for an Oscar praised the specialists in interviews, copied the same “The Fall Guy” and paid tribute to the acrobatics community in the Oscars last year. He even surprised those attending the theme park to promote the film focused on acrobatics.

Gosling and Mendes met while filming “The Place Beyond the Pines” (2012) and since then welcomed two daughters. Mendes has stopped acting largely, but often supports her husband on social networks. On Friday, he joked to be a bit more disciplined.
