The duo has made a semi-annual tradition of writing outrageous jokes for the other to read unseen, forcing both comics to make jokes that truly push the boundaries of bad taste.

But during this year’s Christmas episode, Jost got the impression that they were skipping the raunchy part, leaving him completely unprepared for Che’s antics.

Jost laughed when Che announced it was time to joke, telling him, “That’s interesting, because you specifically said we wouldn’t do it this year… I didn’t write any jokes for you.”

While the off-color jokes about slavery and the Catholic church clearly made Jost squirm, he was truly horrified when the teleprompter revealed a roast of his wife, actress Scarlett Johansson.

“New research shows that millions of women are dropping out of the workforce due to menopause, which means I only have a couple of years left on my gravy train,” Jost gasped as a photo of his 41-year-old other half appeared on the screen.

Barely able to keep his composure while mocking the mother of his children, he said: “My girl is already saying, ‘Colin, I’m hot. Colin, I’m sweating.’ Bitch, you’re having a hot flash!”

Jost was a good sport, especially considering the fact that the fake news hosts were supposed to be on a joke-trading detente after he was forced to make a dirty joke about his wife’s private parts during the 2024 finale episode.

Johansson was backstage when her husband announced that Costco was removing the roast beef sandwich from its menu and then said, “But I’m not going crazy, I’ve been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid.”

The Marvel star ended up getting revenge on Che in May when she made him issue a mortifying on-air apology, which read: “The fact is, I was only attacking because I’m jealous. I’ve never seen a human vagina. And notice I said ‘human’ because I once spent the summer on a farm.”
