2 accused of murder after the bride killed in shots, the 13 -year -old boyfriend and nephew injured at the wedding party in France

Two men have been accused of murder as part of a criminal gang after a The 27 -year -old girlfriend was shot dead At a wedding party in southeastern France, prosecutors said.

The gunmen opened fire last Sunday in a wedding celebration in Gour, a town of La Colina overlooking the lavender fields, in which the sources said they could have been the drug -related score.

Four masked men fired several guests, including the newlyweds and the 13 -year -old nephew of the bride, in a parking lot outside the City Council, said Marseille prosecutor Nicolas Bessone, Thursday night.

“The assailants opened fire, fatally wounding the bride, which was hit several times near the carotid artery,” Bussone said.

“The shots also hit the boyfriend, who had several wounds at the top of the body,” he said, adding that the child had a lung injury and was initially critical.

The boyfriend’s sister was also beaten on the shoulder.

One of the attackers was killed. He was “shot on the back and head” and also “beaten by a vehicle during the attack,” said the prosecutor.

His three accomplices fled on foot. Two of them were arrested in a nearby city several hours later and the fourth is in the race.

Le Figaro reported that the suspects were also linked to a second shooting the same day in the nearby city of Aviñón, where a man was shot dead and another injured near a shopping center.

After 96 hours in police custody, the two suspects appeared before a magistrate on Thursday and were accused of murder and attempted murder as part of an organized gang. They have been arrested in custody.

Marseille’s public prosecutor did not specify his reasons. But a source close to the case said that the 25 -year -old boyfriend was known by the Police for drugs and crimes of organized crimes.

Violence could be linked to the possible placement of drug -related scores, said another source.

From 2022, Goul had a population of just over 1,000 people. The town is located in southeastern France, about 50 miles north of Marseille, a port city that has been shaken by drug -related murders in recent years.
