It has been shown that living a healthy lifestyle promotes longevity, but experts are taking it seven steps beyond.

Longevity experts David Cravit and Larry Wolf, co -founders of the Web and Newsletter SuperaGingNews.com magazine, recently published “The Superage Workbook”, a follow -up of their 2023 book, “Superaging: Aging without aging”.

In the book, the authors map the “7 from the super aging” for optimal health and longevity.

Cravit and Wolf talked about the art of “aging without aging” in an interview with News Digital.

“I can be 65 years old, but I could be 30 more to go here,” said Cravit, based in Canada. “I can do new things. I can create new things. I can grow. I can learn. I can fulfill.”

“There are 101,000 Americans over 100 years old … If I have a positive attitude, I can literally aspire to live 100, and that is the super agents.”

Two key health metrics could determine how long will live

Below are the seven from the superhinction that are shared in the book.

1. Attitude

Having a positive attitude is the number 1 aspect of super aging, according to the authors.

“It is good to have a good attitude. It’s a kind of generic belief,” said Cravit. “But now, they have investigated this to the cellular level. It is not just something generically good. It affects their health and longevity.”

“People with a positive attitude survive people with a negative attitude because it reduces stress, which, in turn, reduces inflammation and inflammation is the cause of most age -related diseases.”

Cravit encourages old people to actively improve their attitude and work on thinking positively.

2. Consciousness

According to experts, there is constantly new investigation on how to live a longer life, so consciousness is key to longevity.

“It’s about aging without aging.”

This includes new studies on the benefits of reducing the amount of time dedicated to sitting or changing an appearance of your diet.

Stay aware of the last findings and “go proactively behind them” will allow adequate lifestyle changes, Cravit suggested.

3. Activity

In addition to adequate nutrition, staying active with daily exercise is a proven way of extending useful life.

According to Wolf, an approach to flexibility, strength, breathing, balance and general movement is a “critical” health part.

“Just get up several times a day, do five minutes of exercise, move, make some squats, do anything for five minutes,” he suggested. “It will have a huge positive impact on your well -being.”

Mental activity is another critical variable, since it is important to “constantly exercise” the brain to keep it young and sharp, he said.

“You need to do new things and work on difficult things to maintain your intellectual acuity,” added Wolf, which is currently 80 years old.

“I have assumed Tai Chi’s sword, which is very fun … really stretches me cognitively in a new way.”

4. Achievement

After retirement, it is crucial to continue establishing and fighting for new goals, whether referring to its previous profession or not.

“You need goals,” Wolf said. “Whether as a volunteer, return to school, learn something new or a lateral hustle … You need a purpose. You need to do something and focus on it and enjoy it.”

Attachment to important people in their lives (partners, family and friends) will also continue to keep it young.

“I’m lucky to have been married to the same wonderful lady for almost 60 years,” Wolf said.

“Cultivating contact with the people you love, with the people you like, expanding your social network, are very critical.”

6. Autonomy

Maintaining autonomy can help guarantee physical and financial independence as people age, experts claim in the book. Doing things for yourself can help you live longer and offer a greater sense of control over your life.

“If you are going to live longer, you must be able to finance it,” Wolf said. “You must administer your money to last, and you can maintain what you need monetarily to live and prosper well.”

7. Avitation

Older people can face many obstacles as they age, including ageism and online scammers, the authors warned.

Wolf encourages the elderly to be aware of where online information comes from and “who offers you what.”

“Internet is rampant with bad people trying to scam in some way quite inventive,” he said.

The “most” critical component of aging is living a satisfactory life, Wolf added.

“Have the right attitude, aware of the critical things that are happening, keep moving, eat well, cultivate your social network and do things that interest you,” he advised.
