The legends of the Buffalo Bills wanted former chief coach Marv Levy a very happy birthday when he turned 100 on Sunday.

The raidor of the Hall of Fame, Thurman Thomas, was among those who would like Levy a happy birthday during the ceremonies in Canton, Ohio, on Saturday. He also offered his voice to a bigger video that the organization set to mark the occasion on Sunday.

Thomas joined Jim Kelly, Steve Tasker and Andre Reed in wishes.

“I just wanted to wish you a happy 100th birthday,” Thomas said. “… I love you, coach.”

“Wow, I can’t believe it. Happy birthday number 100,” Kelly said. “… We are so blessed that you are still with us. You are the reason why we are and we are using our gold jackets.”

“Happy birthday number 100, Marv,” Reed added. “You were not just my coach, I consider you a mentor, a great man. To reach 100, you have been doing some great things … Have there ever there will be another Marv? I don’t think so. Happy birthday, Marv, 100”.

“Marv, I can’t tell you how much you have meant for me in my life,” Tasker said. “How much you have meant for the boys I played with, the teams that you trained, the men you made, the men who lied … Happy birthday number 100 and I will be there when you have 200 too.”

Levy’s first training work was at St. Louis County Day in Missouri in 1951. He introgated the NFL as a kicking coach for the Eagles Philadelphia in 1969 and was coming through the rows. He obtained his first NFL chief coach concert with the Kansas City Chiefs in 1978. He was the chief coach of Chicago Blitz in the United States Soccer League in 1984.

Two years later, he joined the Bills and was his chief coach from 1986 to 1997. In that period, the Bills suffered some bad luck when they lost four super bowls in a row.

He had 112-70 at the head of the Bills and 31-42 with the Chiefs.
