Lawrence O’Donnell of MSNBC criticized the White House press body on Wednesday for not placing a united front by exclusively asking President Donald Trump about his ties with the convict sexual trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, a former associate of the late sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Trump held a press conference at the earlier Oval office in the day and only two reporters asked him about Maxwell and Epstein. He called the history “Bullshit” when a journalist referred to reports that vice president JD Vance planned strategies for an answer to the controversy during a private meeting.

Vance intervened and said: “We did not meet to talk about Epstein’s situation.”

“Each meeting is about Epstein’s situation,” O’Donnell argued on Wednesday about “the last word.” “Each Trump event and each Trump meeting, the Trump administration meeting, Trump’s White House meeting, is the Epstein situation.”

The meeting was, at least officially, on Trump’s alleged plans to revive US manufacturing, which began in April with the announcement of steep international rates and continued on Wednesday with a new 100% tariff on semiconductor chips.

O’Donnell, who called this tax as “illegal” and “unconstitutional”, did not buy the theater.

O’Donnell praised Nancy Cors from News and Bloomberg Catherine Lucey for raising her theme, but set fire to the rest of the “White House Press Corps reliably weak” for remaining silent with his latest developments, such as the transfer of Maxwell’s prison.

Epstein, whose documented ties with Trump Span decades, died in prison in 2019 while waiting for a trial for federal positions of sexual trafficking. Maxwell, who is looking for an agreement with the Administration, was transferred to a minimum security installation in Texas last week.

As O’Donnell pointed out on Monday, Trump said shortly after Maxwell’s arrest, “I wish him the best.” Epstein’s death fed rumors that many powerful figures linked to him were included in a “list of clients” that was among the documents related to the case in the possession of the Department of Justice. The Administration promised in February that it will publish the before Trump called the documents a “deception.”

For O’Donnell and many others, including Trump voters, no story is more important.

“Jeffrey Epstein is dead,” he said Wednesday. “And while Donald Trump is alive, Donald Trump should face questions and suspicions about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. And the White House press body should join in his search for answers to those questions.”
