According to the reports, the legendary Yankees pitcher of New York, Mariano Rivera, injured an Achilles during the 77th game day game of the club on Saturday, according to multiple reports.
The former Yankees pitcher, Rodger Clemens, revealed for the first time the injury in an interview during the WFAN transmission of the Yankees game.
“It was a fun day until we found out of Mariano. Mariano hurt Achilles,” Clemens said. “I think it’s now in the hospital.”

Rivera produced one of the most prominent aspects of the Oldtimers Day game on Saturday when he arrived in Bat and hit a single from former teammate and companion legend of the Yankees Andy Pettite.
Saturday’s veterans day commemorated the victory of the World Series 2000 of the Yankees over the rival of Crosstown New York Mets. Rivera, Clemens and Pettite were key players in that team.
Rivera became the first and only player to be chosen for the Baseball Hall of Baseball unanimously when it was included in 2019.

Rivera, 55, supported President Donald Trump during Trump’s presidential campaign in 2024.
“President Trump, he is my friend,” Rivera said in “Sid & Friends” by Wabc Radio. “I can’t deny that. I will tell anyone. Before he was the president, he was my friend. That’s why, I’m going to vote for him.”
