The two -time Oscar winner, Emma Thompson, felt nothing close to love actually when Donald Trump asked him to go to dinner in the past.

The “Howards End” star said Saturday at the Locarno Film Festival that Trump called her on her trailer while filming the 1998 political film “Primary colors.” It was also the day that his divorce of actor Kenneth Branagh was completed.

“He said: ‘Hello, this is Donald Trump’. I thought it was a joke and asked:” How can I help you? “Maybe I needed someone’s instructions.” I said: ‘Well, that’s very sweet. Thank you so much. I will contact you. ‘”

Thompson, who received a race award and released his last film at the Festival, “The Dead of Winter”, concluded that Trump was “stalking.”

“I realized that that day, my divorce, my divorce decree, you know, the final documents of my divorce had arrived,” he said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “And I thought, I bet you have people looking for adequate people who could get in their arm, you know, a good divorced. That’s what I was looking for, and found the number on my trailer. I mean, that’s stalking!”

While he may have shown meaning and sensitivity in rejecting Trump, who has had a worrying story with women, he commented a lost opportunity.

“I could have had an appointment with Donald Trump, and then he would have a story to tell,” he said. “I could have changed the course of American history.”
