Boston Mayor shoots Trump:
The mayor of Boston, Michelle Wu, returned the Attorney General of the United States, PAM Bondi, for the threats of ensuring that the leaders of the democratic inclination cities comply with the repression of immigration of the Trump administration.
“Here is our answer: stop attacking our cities to hide the failures of your administration,” Wu said during a press conference on Tuesday. “Unlike the Trump administration, Boston follows the law, and Boston will not go back to what we are and what we defend.”
In a letter from Wu to Bondi also published on Tuesday, the mayor praised Boston as a “lighthouse of freedom, and a home for all” in his formal response to Bondi giving the so -called sanctuary jurisdictions for a week to comply with federal immigration laws or face the Department of Actions of the Department of Justice.
“Therefore, it is notified that its jurisdiction has been identified as one that is involved in sanctuary policies and actions that frustrate the application of federal immigration to the detriment of the interests of the United States,” said the letter of last week of Bondi. “This ends now.”

Bondi sent almost identical letters, dated August 13, to the mayors of 32 cities and a handful of jurisdiction county executives who generally refuse to help with federal immigration raids.
The Attorney General demanded an answer that “confirms his commitment to comply with the federal law and identifies the immediate initiatives that he is taking to eliminate laws, policies and practices that prevent the federal immigration application.”
Wu launched Trump during his press conference for having to “collect the pieces of his failures.”
“Above all, you are wrong in the cities,” Wu said. “The cities that live in their minds are totally strange for residents who live in our cities, and we are collecting the pieces of their failures to fulfill their promises.”
Oakland, California, Mayor Barbara Lee (D) told Newsnation that Trump is “fearing” about her city despite the crime rate that must be lowered.
“He is fearing and trying to distract his difficulties he is having,” Lee told Newsnation. “Militarizing a city is unconstitutional.”
Lee referred to Trump’s deployment of National Guard Troops to Washington, DC, and his recent comments suggested that Oakland could be the next to see boots on the ground.
In Oakland, the crime decreased almost 30% from this last year, according to data from the Oakland Police Department.
“The truth is that our crime rate is decreasing,” Lee told Newsnation. “Do we have more work to do? Absolutely, yes, but this makes no sense.”
In Wu’s letter in response to Bondi, he said that the Trump administration has been involved in “false and continuous attacks against US cities and millions of our residents.”
“All these attacks return to a common goal: the Trump administration seeks to divide, isolate and intimidate our cities, and make Americans fear each other,” he added.
He continued to say that Boston “is the safest city in the United States” as a result of “decades of community surveillance and association between the application of local law and community leaders, who share a commitment to make Boston a safe and cozy home for all.”
Wu wrote that the Constitution offers local governments the freedom to supervise public security “without the illegal interference threat of the federal government.”
“The founding parents included these protections as a direct result of the Boston coercion attempt by an inexplicable and distant monarch, and the refusal of this city to lean to tyranny,” he continued.
Wu in particular cited the Boston Trust Law, which allows the Local Police to refuse to work with immigration officials.
“The productive and productive association of our city with the State and Federal Police to protect the people of Boston is prior to their mandate,” Wu wrote to Bondi.
Adding that Boston solidarity with “cities and communities led by this federal administration,” Wu concluded: “Boston will never be a lighthouse of freedom and a home for everyone.”
In his press conference, Wu also slipped Trump’s continuous attempts to release more information related to the sexual offender convicted of the late Jeffrey Epstein.
