The United Kingdom diplomat receives warning about illegal fishing with JD Vance
London (AP) – British Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, went to fish with the United States vice president, JD Vance, earlier this month and the closest thing he came to catch was a good fine.
Lammy received a written warning for fishing without a license, a spokesman for the Environment Agency said on Friday.
As for breaking the law, it was quite small fried, but it could have noted a fine of up to 2,500 pounds ($ 3,380) for the crime.
Lammy, whose spokesman described everything as an “administrative supervision,” bought a license after the fact and informed the agency.
Lammy was host of Vance and his family, who were on vacation in England, in his country in the country to southern London on August 8. The two men smiled and laughed when Vance provided what Lammy called Kentucky style fishing advice.
Apparently, the pointers did not help Lammy on a fish.
“The only tension in the special relationship is that all my children caught the fish, but the Foreign Secretary,” Vance said later.
The Environment Agency would not comment if Vance had a license, citing data protection rules. The spokesman for the vice president did not immediately respond to an email by News looking for comments.

The agency said he confirmed that Lammy received a warning because he had publicized her. In England and Wales, any person over 13 needs a fresh water fishing license, the agency said.
In most cases, unleaded fishermen without permission receive warnings, so in that sense, Lammy apparently had the fate of a beginner.
