The Norwegian tennis star, Casper Ruud, will seek to channel part of the magic he had in the 2022 United States Open and return to the final of the last Grand Slam tournament of the year.

Ruud lost that final against Carlos Alcaraz in four sets. This year, I hoped to go down with the right foot with a victory over Sebastian Ofner in the first round of the tournament.

Seed No. 12 opened on the Big Apple for the United States Open and pointed out that there was one thing that did not miss his return.

“It is difficult to be on the court with people who smoke articulations. Having to inhale that smell of marijuana when we are tired is not fun at all,” Ruud told the Norwegian media. “The intensity of the smell is very strong sometimes.”

He added that the smell of marijuana was the “worst of New York.”

“The smell is everywhere, even here on the courts,” said Ruud, through updated tennis. “We have to accept it, but it is not my favorite smell. It is quite annoying to be playing, tired and only meters away, someone is smoking marijuana. We cannot do anything about it unless the law is inverted, but I have strong doubts that will happen.”

New York legalized marijuana in 2021, but the National Tennis Center Billie Jean King is a smoke -free installation, according to the US Open website.
