The Texas Arch Manning gives the state of Ohio on his shoulders: “I have to play better to win”

Arch Manning had a difficult start in the 2025 season since the Texas Longhorns fell to the national defender champion Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday afternoon.
Manning had incredibly high expectations in the fight and had difficulty discovering the defense of buckey. He was 17, 30 with 170 air yards, a touchdown pass and an interception. He launched the Touchdown pass to Parker Livingstone at the end of the game to reduce the deficit. However, Ohio State clung to victory 14-7.

The young field Marshal put the loss on his shoulders.
“It took us too long to take the ball through the field,” he said, through ESPN. “That starts with me … They are a good team, but I thought we win a lot. That starts with me, and I have to play better to win.”
Texas had more than 27 minutes of possession and exceeded the state of Ohio 336-215. But the offensive fought to execute in the red zone when it entered the 20 yards line of the Buckeyes. The team turned the ball in the casualties in the red zone twice in the second half.

The Longhorns chief coach Steve Sarkisian defended Manning in his post -game chat with journalists. He accredited the defense of the state of Ohio.
“They have a good scheme,” he said. “They have a very intelligent high school and made Arch work. I thought about halfway, Arch had the opportunity to really sit down and look at the tape and understand some of the coverage they were playing, I think that helped the second half.”

Texas will seek to recover against the state of San José next week. Ohio State will play Grambling.
