Russia continues the assault on Ukrainian cities
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy On Sunday said that Ukrainian officials arrested a suspect for the death of the former speaker of Parliament and an outstanding pro-western politician Andriy Parubiy.
Zelenskyy said in a statement about X that a person was arrested after shooting Parubiy in the city of Lviv on Saturday. No details were released on the suspect or a reason for the murder, except that the suspect made “initial statements.”
“The necessary research actions are ongoing. I have instructed that the available information is presented to the public,” said Zelenskyy.

Parubiy, 54, was legislator of the Lvvvo region who participated in the Orange Revolution of Ukraine in 2004 and directed voluntary self -defense units during the protests of Maidan of 2014, which forced Viktor Yanukovych Pro-Ruso From the office. He was a speaker from 2016 to 2019.
Local media reported that Parubiy received several shots by a gunman dressed as a messenger on an electronic bicycle, according to News themezone partner, BBC News.
Zelenskyy condemned him as a “horrible murder” and said that “all necessary forces and means” would be used in the investigation.
