Venus Williams makes a special request for Serena in Upen
New York (AP) – Venus Williams is in the quarterfinals of women of US Open women with Leylah Fernández and now wants their old couple to return. She says it’s time for Serena Williams to come to watch a game.
Williams made the plea that her younger sister appeared after she and Fernández beat the 12th of Ekaterina Alexandrova and Zhang Shuai 6-3, 6-4 in her third round on Monday in front of a multitude of capacity at the Louis Armstrong stadium.
“He is very happy for Leylah and I, and has given us advice,” said Williams. “We only need it in the box. So my message is: ‘Serena, you need to appear.”
Williams and Fernández will play on Tuesday against the best sown team by Taylor Towsend and Katerina Siniakova.
The Williams sisters won 14 main championships together. Even if Serena chooses not to attend, she is definitely looking.

“She gave me a talk and made sure to call me today. I had, as, ‘you are right. I am. I have it,” Venus said.
“He is definitely training from afar. He is very excited. He becomes very nervous looking and has the children looking at. Everyone is at home, simply on our side.”
Venus said they sent him a video of his two nieces watching the game and shouting his name.
Williams and Fernández had not played together until last week, when they received a wild card in the field in the Grand Slam tournament. Now they have 3-0 and have not lost a set in the process.
“We are in the same wavelength, and we hope we can keep it in operation,” Williams said.
With the full stands in Armstrong and a wait to enter to see Williams and Fernández, the 45 -year -old American and Canadian needed only an hour and 14 minutes to move on.

“I have full confidence in Venus, and I hope you have full confidence in me during our party,” said Fernández. “We are just going out, playing our game: be offensive, aggressive and ready for the ball.”
Venus has called Fernández his best partner as well as Serena. He joked that Serena had no advice for Fernández, the runner -up of the US Open 2021 in singles.

“So I guess you’re playing perfect,” Williams told his partner during his press conference.
Serena has not played from the Open of US 2022. If she returns to Flushing Meadows, it seems that Venus would expect her to bring a racket.
“If she came, it would be a dream for both of us and we would have it in the court training,” Venus said. “We would force her to hit, even though it doesn’t often hits. It is probably better that it doesn’t come because we probably intimidate it.”
