Robin Wright could soon join several other celebrities to leave the United States behind.
The “House of Cards” star has spent his career in Hollywood, directing, producing and starring a litany of acclaimed projects, but revealed on Sunday that he has spent recent years in England, and wants to permanently move to his field.
The actor did not mention President Donald Trump or the anguishing policies that mark his second administration. Wright, who has lived in Chiltern hills out of London in recent years, said the apparent decline in traditional American life as its reason.
“I love being in this country,” he told the English newspaper. “Here is a freedom of one.
Wright argued that the construction sounds surrounding his house in Seasled Los Angeles have nothing in the relaxing birds of their new mornings in the Chilterns, but also pointed out that he met a new man, and has been dating British architect Henry Smith.
“I love tranquility,” he told Times. “And I’ve met my person. Finally.”
Wright joins numerous stars in an apparent exodus of the United States, including former diurnal interview presenters Ellen Degeneres and Rosie O’Donnell, who respectively moved to England and Ireland, after Trump re -election in November.
The “sopranos” star Joe Pantoliano and the student of “Desperate Housewives” Eva Longoria are considering a permanent movement or ensure that they have an alternative operations base.
Wright met Smith in a pub in the countryside after his dog began to sniff his seat, and quickly fell in love. She described the architect during her interview as a “good and decent adult” and “affection.”

Wright was previously in a 14 -year -old marriage “exciting and difficult” with his fellow actor Sean Penn, and although he then walked down the hall with the French fashion executive ClĂ©ment Giraudet in 2018, the actor cited “irreconcilable differences” when requesting divorce in 2022.
“I am seen and loved for what I am,” Wright told Times about Smith. “It’s very relaxing.”
