The Val Kilmers death certificate reveals critical details behind the actors that pass
Actor Val Kilmer died of pneumonia with several underlying causes, revealed his death certificate.
TMZ obtained a copy of the document on Thursday. The certificate listed pneumonia as the immediate cause, as originally reported, but revealed many assistant factors.
Acute hypoxemic respiratory failure (under oxygen supply), chronic respiratory failure and squamous cell carcinoma (skin cancer) of the tongue base were listed as underlying causes.
Malnutrition and tracheocutaneous fistula (often caused by a tracheotomy to open a hole in the trachea) were among the contributing factors.
Kilmer died in Los Angeles on April 1 at 65 after an iconic Hollywood race in which his films won more than $ 3.8 billion.
He was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014, but recovered, according to his daughter, Mercedes Kilmer. However, TMZ reported that his health continued to decrease in his last years, and was in bed for months before his death. It was incinerated on April 7, the departure added.
Kilmer starred “The Doors” and “Batman Forever”. In his final role, he repeated his “Top Gun” character, “Iceman”, which was originally the rival of the Tom Cruise Ace’s Ace, in “Top Gun: Maverick” of 2022.
