Even News Business is having difficulty taking a positive turn in the latest job report.
The panel on “Mornings With Maria” unpacked the August job report on Friday morning in real time, and when they learned that US employers added only 22,000 jobs last month – Compared to the expectation of around 76,000, the program took a bleak tone. The report also shows that the unemployment rate has increased up to 4.3%.

“So that would be higher than 4.2%in July,” said Lauren Simonetti, who was reading the report only a few seconds after publication. That rate, CNN reportsit is the highest level since 2021, which was in the middle of the pandemic.
The report also included reviewed figures that showed that the total work of June was negative and that the economy actually lost 13,000 jobs that month.

“That number of 22,000 … is a weaker number of the expected,” admitted Cherryl Casone filling presenter. “And these reviews are quite brutal.”
“Yes, extraordinarily,” said Charles Payne.
As the panel discussed other aspects of the report, words and phrases such as “surprising”, “disappointing” and “there is a lot of concern” to describe the figures.

The report occurs only one month after an enraged Trump dismissed the head of the Office of Labor Statistics. About a bad job report When stating, without any evidence, that I was looking for the numbers to look worse than his predecessor, former President Joe Biden. Then, the president nominated a loyal to replace it.
However, the August work report seems even worse. It seems that even Trump was aware of how ugly the numbers were seen and, as usual, he decided to deviate.
