Stephen King launches the list of the 10 best films of all time, and there is a surprise
The author Stephen King released his list of the 10 best films on Monday, including an option that could scare his curiosity.
The prolific novelist said he excluded four films based on his own stories, “Misery”, “The Shawshank Redemption”, “The Green Mile” and “Stand by me”. That suggests that its 10 selections are actually part of a top 14.
But we deviate.
King’s tastes ran classics. He chose many films that could feel at home in other classifications of all time: “Casablanca”, “The Treasury of the Sierra Madre”, “Jaws”, “The Godfather: Part II”, “Double compensation” and “Nearby meetings of the third type”.
A comedy success in the time, “Groundhog Day”, also made the cut, along with the 1973 gangsters movie that helped Stoke the greatness of director Martin Scorsese, “Mean streets.” King also included “The Getaway” by iconic action director Sam Peckinpah.

“Sorcerer”, the 1977 box office pump by director William Friedkin on desperate types that transport nitroglycerin in Latin America, completed the list. (King really wrote it first, but the titles were not in a particular order).

“Sorcerer?” You could ask. Here the same.
He obtained only $ 9 million discount on a budget of $ 22 million, but had to compete in theaters against the first “Star Wars”.
“Sorcerer” then built a positive critical follow -up among the public. He obtained a great thumb up the director of Rey, Quentin Tarantino, who called him a “masterpiece”, and the director of “The Godfather Part II”, Francis Ford Coppola, who said it was a “forgotten classic.”
