Sonia Sotomayor has a warning about the talk of the third term of triumphs
You don’t give anything for granted. Not even the 22nd amendment.
Such is the warning of the Judge of the Supreme Court, Sonia Sotomayor, who warned during an appearance in “The View” on Tuesday that anything can be questioned. (Watch the video in the player above).
Although amendment 22 clearly establishes that “no person will be chosen for the president’s office more than twice,” that does not mean that someone, President Donald Trump, perhaps, cannot affirm that he interprets it in a different way.
Sotomayor dispensed the warning in response to a question of the “see” Alyssa Farah Griffin coanfrerion about repeated Trump’s suggestions that he could try to remain in office at the end of his second term.
“There has been talk that Donald Trump could look for a third term,” said Griffin, a former Trump advisor.
“I think if I did, the Republican party would probably support him,” he continued. “The 22nd amendment prohibits someone from looking for a third term in office. Do you think the 22nd amendment is a law resolved?”
“The Constitution is a solved law,” Sotomayor replied. “No one has tried to challenge that. Until someone tries, you don’t know. So, it is not resolved because we do not have a judicial case on that issue, but it is in the Constitution,” he continued.
“One must understand that there is nothing that is the largest law in the United States than the Constitution of the United States,” added Sotomayor.

Previously in the interview, Sotomayor gave a more introspective tone by reflecting on the weight of the recent decision of the Court that allowed the racial profile of immigration and customs’ immigration and compliance agents in Los Angeles.
Beyond its immediate consequences, the decision will have involuntary domain effects, justice predicted.
“It affects its future. And it affects the behavior of the leaders in the future, because what we allow today will not duplicate exactly tomorrow. It will be something different,” said Sotomayor.
“It will be a different group of people. It will be a different situation. But once we have approved it, it establishes a precedent that can be … really bad.”
“Every time we change the precedent, we are changing the contours of a right that people thought they had. Once you take it away, think how much more is at risk later,” he added later.
Bret Baier de News raised a similar question about the 22nd amendment to the judge of the Supreme Court Amy Coney Barrett on Monday, and offered a somewhat ambiguous response, which caused alarm among political observers.
“Amendment 22 says that it can only be running for the position during two terms,” Baier said, to which Barrett replied: “True.”
When asked if he thinks “that is cut and dry”, however, he did not respond exactly affirmatively.
