Angel Reese will remain with Sky despite the riff of season late, says the general manager

Chicago Sky and Angel Reese finished the 2025 season with a bitter note when the star player of the team said that “she could have to move in a different direction and do the best for me” if the team does not improve their perspective.
Reese was suspended by the team for his “harmful” comments, then the last three games of the season was lost with what the team called a back injury, causing speculation that the relationship fractured.
But Sky General Manager Jeff Pagliocca said Reese will be on the team “until listening differently.”

“That is the address we are going to move, it is that she is on the list,” journalists told at the beginning of this week.
“Angel is a young ascending talent in this league that has had two very, very good seasons here in Chicago,” Pagliocca said on Friday. “Obviously we went through what we did. I feel that we closed the chapter about it. She spoke with her teammates, spoke publicly. We continued as a team. She is a special player. And I have good conversations with Angel Daily, with her daily team. They are constant and are productive.”

Reese demanded that the team get better players, saying that it was a “non -negotiable” for her.
“I am not forming with the same S — that we did this year,” Reese said to Chicago Tribune. “We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That is not negotiable for me.”

The sky was tied in the worst record in the WNBA with 10-34, even though it averaged 14.7 points and had 12.6 league rebounds.
