Everyone talks about the double standard between how Trump responded when Charlie Kirk was killed in front of when a Minnesota legislator was killed

On Wednesday, conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot dead while talking at Utah Valley University.
Shortly after the news of the shooting was broken, Donald Trump posted in Truth Social, writing: “We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. God bless him!”
Approximately an hour and a half later, he shared the update that Charlie was dead, calling him “great and even legendary.” Trump continued: “No one understood or had the heart of young people in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by all, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my sympathies come out with their beautiful wife Erika and his family. Charlie, we love you!”

Trump ordered the flag to be flown in the middle of the staff until September 14 “as a brand of respect for the memory of Charlie Kirk.” In addition, the president announced Thursday morning that he will award the presidential medal of La Libertad posthumously to Charlie, calling him “a giant of his generation, a champion of freedom and an inspiration for millions and millions of people.”

In June, Melissa, a Democratic representative from Minnesota and her husband, Mark, were shot dead in her house by an armed man disguised as a police. His dog, Gilbert, was also mortally injured and had to be discarded.
Vance Boelter was accused in July and accused of killing Melissa and Mark, as well as seriously hurting Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette. In Truth Social, Trump wrote at that time: “such a horrible violence will not be tolerated in the United States of America. God bless the great people of Minnesota, a truly great place!”

He did not order the flags to be flown to the half -mast, and when asked if he would call the governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, Trump replied: “I think the governor of Minnesota is so off. I don’t call it. Why would I call it? I could call and say: ‘Hello, how is it?’ Uh, the guy has no idea.

A person wrote: “The whole right is going to be absolutely shit about the murder of Charlie Kirk. But he only remembers how none of them gave shit to a Democratic legislator in Minnesota to be killed only a couple of months ago. Trump basically ignored it.”
