Robot with 4 leg hydrogen that you can actually mount
What happens if your next road was not on a motorcycle or ATV, but in a robot that moves like a wolf? Kawasaki Heavy Industries has introduced something that feels directly from a video game: Corleo, a four -legged robot prototype hydrogen designed to be mounted by humans. Presented at the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025, this futuristic machine is built to handle the resistant terrain with ease, combining vanguard and sustainable energy robotics.
Let’s take a closer look at what makes Corloo so on board.

A new way to explore outdoors
Corleo Isn’t it your typical off -road vehicle? Instead of wheels, it has four robotic legs that move independently, which allows it to handle unequal terrain such as rocks, grass and steep slopes. Kawasaki says that design was inspired by the skeletal structure of the lions. The corleus name is derived from Cor Leonis, the brightest star of Leo’s constellation. The riders mounted it as they would do with a horse, but instead of grabbing the handlebars or using pedals, you control your body. Lean forward and advance. Change your weight to the side and adjust your steps accordingly.
Corleo is also environmentally friendly. Use a battery matched with a 150cc hydrogen engine. The hydrogen engine generates electricity, which is stored in the battery. Kawasaki has been pressing vehicles with hydrogen for years, and Corleo is his last effort to combine sustainability with innovation.

What makes Corleo special?
Corleo is not just about getting from point to point B. He is full of advanced characteristics that make him feel like something out of the future.
- Navigation with AI: The robot uses artificial intelligence to stay balanced and adapt its movements in real time. Whether you are on rocky trails or steep hills, corleus is adjusted to stay stable.
- Body movement control: There are no buttons or levers here. Corleo responds directly to how its weight changes. It is designed to feel natural and intuitive, even for beginners.
- Head visualization: A small screen gives you all the information you need while driving, such as how much hydrogen fuel remains, navigation tips and even details about weight distribution.
- Sliding resistant hooves: Instead of wheels, each leg ends in rubber hooves that grab different surfaces safely. This makes it perfect to explore areas where traditional vehicles can fight.

The first industrial superhumanoid industrial robot
Designed for adventure
The elegant corloe design is as impressive as its technology. Built with durable materials such as metal and carbon fiber, it is difficult enough for outdoor adventures while it still seems futuristic. Video game fans can notice some similarities with the designs of Horizon Zero Dawn, which, according to reports, inspired part of their aesthetics.

What’s still for corleus?
At this time, Corleo is still in the prototype phase, so there are some unanswered questions, such as how fast or how far he can travel in a complete hydrogen tank. And although the idea of setting up a robotic wolf sounds incredible, we will have to wait a while before it is available. Kawasaki estimates that it could happen up to 25 years before something like Corleo reaches the market.
Even so, this concept shows where off -road vehicles could be directed in the future. Kawasaki sees CORLOE as an alternative to traditional motorcycles or ATVs, something that could make difficulty land be safer, easier and more sustainable.

Kawasaki’s greatest robotic vision
Corleo is part of the growing Kawasaki approach in robotics. The company has been doing industrial robots for decades and recently expanded to new areas such as collaborative robots (designed for manufacturing) and educational robots for classrooms. For example:
- CL series robots are built for heavy duty tasks such as welding and palletization in extreme environments.
- Kawasaki’s double assembly Scara robot can coexist and collaborate with humans.
With Corleo, Kawasaki shows how his robotics experience can go beyond factories and classrooms in outdoor adventures.

Kurt’s Key Takeways
Kawasaki corle is a completely new way of thinking about off -road transport. When combining robotics, AI and clean energy, Kawasaki is imagining a future where adventure meets sustainability. While we may not see role as corleo on the paths in the short term, it is worth thinking about how this technology could change outdoor adventures forever. Who would not want to set up a robot inspired by the most agile creatures of nature?
