Civitavecchia, Italy – Along the Mediterranean coast of Italy on Thursday, driver Fabio Barone ran through the flight cover of a sea ship while pursuing a world record: the fastest car in a boat.

Last year, Barone established the record of the Federation of Italian lifters on another aircraft carrier in southern Italy, reaching 94.4 mph. In Civitavecchia, on the coast near Rome, its goal was to reach at least 99.4 mph and then hit the brakes in time to avoid the so -called “ski jump” of the roof and crash against the parked cruise parked just in front.

Carreras Ando Tedino racing engineer told News that he was not sure that the new album was possible. The ship had been at sea during the night, and the crew emerged early in the morning to find its wet flight cover. They immediately dried, with the work finished by the sun rays of the late summer.

“If it remained wet, then, of course, it is impossible to have the maximum speed and the best brakes. It can be very, very dangerous,” he said.

As the thematic song of “Top Gun” sounded from the speakers, the carriers of the port of the carrier took Barone’s team to the deck where journalists, naval officers and VIP expected. A group of children with Down Syndrome, chosen to serve as “Mechanics for the Day” Honorary, eliminated the red and satin cover to reveal the Barone steed: a red and black Ferrari SF90.

Barone got into the Support, then led from one place to another along the roof several times to heat his Turbo V-8 engine. He roared stronger with each pass while pushing his 1,085 hardest and toughest horses. Then it was placed at the end farther from the 774 feet flight cover and waited for the clearing.

“Here it goes! Here it goes!” The announcer called when Barone left his mark and surpassed the crowd. Meros seconds later it stopped, and the crowd applauded hesitant, impressed by the rapid show, but insecure if he had overcome the record. The official timer approached the car and inspected the meters inside.

“The speed detected: 164 kilometers per hour (101.9 mph). I declare the new speed record on a ship!” He said, causing abundant applause from cost.

Barone raised her arms to the sky, then hugged her crew, still in her place. The reporters swarmed.

“The main thing in what you focus on is the concentration and then you realize that you are breaking the record only when you are halfway,” Barone said. “I have two hands, two feet and use them at the same time as a pianist.”

Tedino said that Barone’s team will now send its certified result to Guinness World Records, which told the AP in an email on Thursday afternoon that “we hope to receive and review the application and support evidence of its last attempt.”
