Miley Cyrus says that this surprising new hobby helps maintain her sobriety
Miley Cyrus has a new hobby, and is much more discreet than you would expect.
The singer of “Flowers” recently spoke with Pamela Anderson about her new favorite hobby, gardening, and explained how she helped her with her sobriety.
“Gardening is something you do for yourself,” Cyrus said in an interview with Anderson for CR Fashion Book, published on Monday. “When we have shared a lot of ourselves, having those little precious moments with something simple, such as putting a seed on the floor and nourishing it, it becomes a very personal process.”
He called the Hobby “Medicine” and explained that he helped her maintain it “based on my sober lifestyle.”
“It is part of a practice, the way you could be yoga: go to nature, do something with my hands and have a creative exit that is not about fame or success.”

Cyrus has opened about his sobriety trip before, telling Zane Lne of Apple Music earlier this year that sobriety is “like my God.”
“I need it, I live for it,” he said. “My whole life has changed.”

The “The Last Song” actor has also talked about the importance of working to maintain his sobriety, and how that has impacted certain parts of his career, such as tours.
“I have the physical skill and I have the opportunities to make a tour. I would like to have the desire, but I do not,” said Grammy winner to “Good Morning America” in July.
“There are artists like Prince who are not here today who lived a lifestyle of such high intensity along the way,” he added. “And it is really difficult to maintain sobriety when you are on the road, which is a really important and very important stability pillar in my life.”
