California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) continued his no-holds-barred trolling of President Donald Trump, this time mocking a black-and-white photo of Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu holding hands.

The White House released the photo Monday after Trump announced a peace deal between Israel and Hamas last week. “Peace through strength,” the caption read.

Immediately after publication, the governor’s press office followed up with its own parody comparison of the snapshot: an untitled photograph of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels from the 1994 comedy “Dumb and Dumber.”

The post, which was reported by several media outlets, appears to have been deleted.

Neither the White House nor Newsom’s press office immediately responded to News themezone’s requests for comment.

Last week, Trump facilitated a ceasefire in Gaza that included the release of Israeli hostages and detained Palestinians. The ceasefire came into effect on Friday after two years of war.

Newsom and Trump have periodically clashed on social media.

Over the weekend, Newsom also criticized Trump for a late at night mail.

On Sunday, the president, in a Truth Social post at 12:38 a.m., blamed former President Joe Biden and “Biden’s FBI” for the violent and unprecedented Capitol riot on January 6, 2021 in Washington, DC.

“FBI BIDEN PLACED 274 AGENTS AMONG THE CROWD ON JANUARY 6,” Trump wrote. “If this is the case, which it is, a lot of very good people will be owed a big apology. What a SCAM – DO SOMETHING!!!”

Trump made the false accusation while apparently forgetting that he He was president when the attacks occurred. Biden was not sworn in until two weeks later. Trump nominee Christopher Wray was serving as FBI director at the time of the riot.

“IN A LATE NIGHT POST, TRUMP DOESN’T REMEMBER WHO WAS PRESIDENT ON JANUARY 6, 2021 (HE WAS), STRANGELY YELLS ‘DO SOMETHING’ (PROBABLY IN THE CLOUDS),” Newsom wrote in response to unknownformerly Twitter.
