Trump or XI will begin the tariffs of the conversations?
The Chinese government has told the country’s national airlines to stop accepting Boeing airplanes as a commercial war between the two largest economies in the world, Bloomberg News reports.
China is also instructing its carriers to stop buying pieces of airlines and other components of US companies, according to Bloomberg, which cited people familiar with the situation.
Boeing declined to comment. The actions of the aviation giant fell $ 2.59, or 1.6%, to $ 156.74 in the morning negotiation.
The order to stop accepting Boeing aircraft comes after China driven Its retaliation rates on US goods at 125%. That coincides with the level of tariffs that President Trump has imposed on Chinese imports, although these taxes can increase to 145% for some products. China’s tariffs would have more than double the price of airplanes and pieces made in the United States, which makes the cost inaccessible, Bloomberg reported.
Boeing is expected to send around 10 maximum aircraft 737 to Chinese aircraft carriers, including China Southern Airlines, Air China and Xiamen Airlines, Bloomberg reported, citing Aviation Flights Group data. During the first quarter, Boeing delivered 130 aircraft in total, including more than 100,737 planes, said the company on April 8.
Bloomberg reported that some of the payment and delivery documents in some of those aircraft ordered by Chinese airlines could have been completed before the commercial war expanded earlier this month. In that case, some airplanes could enter China, the news service reported.
