Keanu Reeves is clearing up rumors that he married his longtime girlfriend, Alexandra Grant.

At the New York premiere of the actor’s new movie, “Good Fortune,” on Monday, Reeves lovingly shut down gossip about his rumored nuptials as he spoke. with E! News.

“Well, that wasn’t the first time,” he joked about the rumors. “We’ve been dating for a long time.”

The “Matrix” star and Grant, a visual artist, first went public with their relationship in 2019.

Before that, they were linked in 2011, when they published their collaborative book, “Ode to Happiness,” which Reeves wrote and Grant illustrated.

Reeves’ comments came on the heels of Grant dismissing marriage rumors as “fake news” late last month.

By sharing a photo on Instagram of her and Reeves kissing, she wrote“This is a real photo. It’s not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement… just a kiss!”

Grant added: “I’m sharing it here to thank you all for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we’re not getting married. Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful! So, here’s some real happiness!”

Reeves praised his girlfriend’s post on E! News, telling the outlet that Grant “did a wonderful job [job]”disarming the rumors.

“The wedding is a beautiful thing,” he said. “People sent a lot of nice messages and stuff, but Alexandra did a wonderful job. [job] addressing. Like, ‘Thanks, but this is reality.'”

While Reeves and Grant have kept their relationship out of the spotlight, a source told People that the pair are a perfect match.

“[Grant] She is adorable, sweet, loving and fun. She has her own life and career, but she’s also very supportive of Keanu’s,” the source said. “When he films on location, she travels with him. When he films locally, she visits the set frequently.”
