Michelle Obama’s brother, Craig Robinson, did not always approve Barack Obama.

Robinson opened about his first impressions of the former president in Wednesday’s episode of the new podcast of the brothers, “IMO”.

“Then, Miche begins to go out with Barack, and we don’t know who this guy is,” says Robinson. “We simply like ‘Barack? Who has a name like Barack?’ And I am thinking for myself, it will last approximately a month as most of your relationships did. ”

Robinson recalled the day his sister brought Barack Obama to meet the family and shared his family’s first impressions.

“When she leaves the car, and I remember that the first thing of Mom was: ‘Ooh, at least he is tall,” he said about his late mother, Marian Robinson. “And I told myself: ‘Well, it’s a pity that won’t last.'”

“But the best part was, after we met him and she had been dating for a while, she said:” Would you care, Craig, leading him to play? [basketball]? ‘”Robinson shared that the family always felt you could discover someone’s real character for how they played basketball.

“And at first I said: ‘In no way, I’m not doing your dirty work for you,'” said Robinson. “If he turns out to be a bad, I will not be the one who says.”

The former university basketball coach said that “he finally accepted” and went out to play with his brother -in -law now, from whom he learned a lot.

“We had a great time playing,” Robinson said.

“The most important thing is that he was a team player. He fit people,” he added. “And I could inform you. Everything was fine, and the rest is history.”

Barack and Michelle Obama are still strengthened, since the two recently celebrated their 32 wedding anniversary in October, despite the rumors that they were going to divorce.

Michelle Obama recently addressed rumors of divorces during a visit to the Sophia Bush podcast, “work in progress.”

“That is what we, as women, I think … we fight with disappointing people,” he said earlier this month. “I mean, so much, that this year people were … they could not even understand that I was making a decision for me that had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing.”
