Government shutdown drags on as key election looms: live updates
President Donald Trump is making clear that he has no desire to negotiate with Democrats to end the current government shutdown, which is on track to become the longest such shutdown in U.S. history.
In an interview with News’ “60 Minutes” that aired Sunday, Trump predicted that Democrats will eventually capitulate to Republicans and vote to reopen the government.
“I think they have to do it,” he said. “And if they don’t vote, that’s their problem.”
His comments come as key elections, including the New York City mayoral race, the gubernatorial races in Virginia and New Jersey, and the special election in California, are scheduled for Tuesday, marking the first test of his second term as polls show him becoming more unpopular.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will hear arguments this week in a major case focused on whether Trump has the authority to impose broad tariffs under federal law.

“Those who criticize both Tucker and Heritage are not canceling, but rather drawing a moral line,” Shapiro said in a podcast episode he shared with X on Monday, during which he condemned Carlson’s actions.
“Not to the rude ones. Not to cowards like Tucker Carlson, who normalize their garbage.” Shapiro wrote in the post.
Shapiro’s remarks responded directly to comments from Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts, who said the think tank would not distance itself from Carlson and argued that efforts to criticize his interview were attempts to “cancel” him.
“It’s not a write-off to refuse to boost Hitler supporters like Nick Fuentes,” Shapiro said, as he went on to play a series of clips highlighting Fuentes’ sexist, racist and anti-Semitic stances, including Holocaust denial and claims that white people are justified in being racist.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) has also criticized Carlson’s decision, as have Breitbart’s Joel Pollack, conservative personality Mark Levin and The Daily Wire’s Andrew Klavan.

Trump watched a News segment about the treatment of Christians in Nigeria on Air Force One shortly before becoming concerned about the issue and threatening to invade the country, sources told CNN.
One of the sources said Trump is now talking about military action in Africa’s most populous country to”See how Nigeria responds,” calling him “an ‘Art of the Deal’ type strategy.”
A White House official told CNN that Trump had”I’ve been following this issue before and had already started thinking about fixing it” before watching the segment.

Laura Loomer, the conspiracy theorist and right-wing influencer who has grown close to Trump, now has credentials to cover the Pentagon, a person familiar with the matter told The Washington Post.
Loomer’s credentials come to light after the Defense Department revised its media policy to require reporters to comply with a number of rules, including one that prohibits them from obtaining any information that the department does not expressly allow. News themezone was one of the outlets that refused to sign the agreement last month, saying it amounted to a stunning violation of press freedom.
Loomer, an extreme Trump supporter, met with the president in the Oval Office on numerous occasions during his second term and took credit for the firing of several federal employees.

After months of reports about ties between the two politicians, Trump posted an emphatic endorsement of former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for mayor of New York City, and again threatened to limit federal funding if state Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani won.
“We should also remember this: a vote for Curtis Sliwa (who looks much better without the beret!) is a vote for Mamdani.” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Monday urging voters to avoid Sliwa, the Republican nominee. “Whether you personally like Andrew Cuomo or not, you really have no choice. You should vote for him and hope he does a fantastic job. He is capable of doing it, Mamdani is not!”
Trump’s endorsement comes after a New York Times report suggested he and Cuomo had a more comfortable relationship and had made a call about the election, something both leaders denied. Previously, Cuomo had also openly mused about how Trump could help sway Republican voters in his favor.
Trump’s endorsement also follows frequent attacks he has launched against Mamdani, including xenophobic and Islamophobic statements about his identity, and repeated broadsides against his ideology as a democratic socialist.
On Monday, he echoed previous threats he had made about restricting federal funding to New York City under Mamdani’s potential leadership.
“If communist candidate Zohran Mamdani wins the election for mayor of New York City, it is highly unlikely that he will contribute any federal funds, other than the minimum required, to my beloved first home, due to the fact that, as a communist, this once great city has ZERO chance of success, or even survival!” Trump wrote.
Mamdani has long pointed to Cuomo’s relationship with the president as a major vulnerability and argument What will it be?”Trump’s puppet” if he is elected mayor.

Attorney General Pam Bondi is attempting to deflect concerns about the retroactive appointment of Lindsey Halligan as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Bondi said in court papers filed Monday that he was granting additional powers to Halligan, who brought charges against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James. Bondi said he would appoint Halligan to “the additional position of Special Prosecutor, effective September 22, 2025” (before Comey and James were indicted) to “lead and supervise” both specific cases.
He also decided to “ratify Ms. Halligan’s actions” in each case.

For months, President Donald Trump has aggressively promoted a conspiracy theory suggesting that former President Joe Biden was so mentally disabled that his staff manipulated him into signing documents during his presidency that he had not actually approved.
The wild theory arose from Biden’s use of a pop-open device, a machine that replicates a person’s signature. Presidents have used these types of devices for decades to speed up the signing process. s, but Trump has been relentless in his quest to turn Biden’s use into a scandal, suggesting that many of his orders are “VOID.”
That’s what made his admission on “60 Minutes” so surprising.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer accused Trump of cruelty and failing to comply with court orders by offering only 50% of November SNAP benefits to the 22 million households facing food insecurity.
“Providing partial benefits is not enough, does not comply with the law, and is particularly cruel of Trump with the Thanksgiving season around the corner.” Schumer said on the Senate floor.
The Trump administration announced Monday that SNAP payments, which are at risk of drying up during the government shutdown, would resume in November at half the normal amount. The announcement came days after two separate courts ruled that he must fund the program during the shutdown, which Trump said his lawyers did not consider legal.
“The courts spoke loud and clear: Donald Trump cannot block SNAP benefits and treat hungry Americans as political pawns.” Schumer said. “The stories from the weekend were shameful and disgusting: people overwhelming food banks, handing out food instead of Halloween candy, teachers paying out of pocket to give extra food to their students.”

House Minority Whip Hakeem Jeffries accused the Trump administration and House Speaker Mike Johnson of”running a pedophile protection program” by refusing to swear in Arizona’s Adelita Grijalva (D), who would give House Democrats the numbers to force a vote on releasing Jeffrey Epstein’s files.
“The Trump administration and Mike Johnson are running a pedophile protection program; that’s what they’ve been doing, and that’s why they refused to swear in Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva,”” Jeffries said at a news conference.
The New York congressman’s implication is that Trump, who had a documented friendship with the late sex offender, and Johnson may be trying to protect some public figures from being linked to Epstein if all information about the files is released.
Johnson has said he is waiting until the House is back in session to swear in Grijalva, who has waited longer than any other member of Congress elected through special elections to take office. his position.

Whoever operates Trump’s “Truth Social” account spent the last 24 hours spamming his followers with political endorsements, with dozens of recommendations posted, most of them following the same formulaic script and ending with the same all-caps promise as [whoever] YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
“Congressman Mike Rogers is doing a truly fantastic job representing the great people of Alabama’s 3rd Congressional District!” says one, chosen at random from ads for generic Viagra and “Patriot phones.”
“As the first Chairman of the Alabama House Armed Services Committee, Mike is working tirelessly to advance our AMERICA FIRST agenda. He knows the wisdom and courage needed to defend our country, support our incredible military/veterans, and ensure PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH. In Congress, Mike is working tirelessly to grow our economy, reduce taxes and regulations, promote MADE IN USA, defend Energy DOMINION American, keep our border now very safe, SECURE, stop Migrant Crime, and Defend our Second Amendment always under siege.
Mike Rogers has my complete and total endorsement for re-election – HE WILL NEVER DISAPPOINT YOU!
Another, posted just four minutes earlier, makes it clear that backups are at worst a copy-and-paste task and at best something they plugged into an AI model and let it run.
“Congressman French Hill is doing an incredible job representing the incredible people of Arkansas’ 2nd Congressional District!” it reads, mimicking almost every other endorsement.
“As Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, French knows the America First policies needed to create BIG jobs, reduce taxes and regulations, promote MADE IN USA, unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, and defend our nation’s Golden Age. He is also fighting tirelessly to keep our now very secure border, SAFE, stop immigration crime, strengthen our military/veterans, and defend our Second Amendment, always under siege.”
“French Hill has my complete and total endorsement for re-election – I WILL NEVER DISAPPOINT YOU!
All of the posts seem to have absurdly crazy engagement numbers, with most of them routinely getting over 7,000 likes.

A U.S. citizen and mother of one, Dayanne Figueroa, told the Chicago Tribune how she found herself in a violent confrontation with federal immigration agents while on her way to work one day last month.
Figueroa said he was stopping for coffee on his way to work when he came across a street where federal agents were making arrests. A speeding government vehicle collided with her car, she said, and officers jumped out with guns drawn and pulled her out of her own vehicle by her legs. Parts of the incident were reportedly captured on video.
Agents left her car on the road and detained her at the Broadview federal immigration center, initially denying her a call to her family or a lawyer, the Tribune said. Figueroa’s mother told the newspaper that the video of the harsh arrest especially concerned her because of her daughter’s recent kidney surgery.

The Trump White House, always on top of what’s hot online, has posted a MySpace parody mocking Democrats on its official government website amid the shutdown.
The page, marked “mysafespace,” reflects the once-popular social networking site that fell out of fashion almost 20 years ago.
“Hello, we are Democrats in the House and Senate. We love DEI, transgender for all, and giving taxpayer benefits to illegal immigrants.” the page “About me” section reads. “We couldn’t care less if our men and women in uniform get paid or if our neighborhoods are safe – we love playing politics with people’s livelihoods!!”
The profile lists Democratic interests as “ANTIFA, acting tough, drug dealers and illegal criminal aliens.” Under the “Who I would like to meet” section, says: “Honestly, we couldn’t meet enough Antifa members or illegal immigrants. They are so amazing.”

CNN’s Manu Raju pointed to House Speaker Mike Johnson, who has sharply criticized former President Joe Biden’s use of an auto-opening device, echoing Trump’s claim that documents signed with the device, such as Biden’s end-of-term pardons, may not be valid. Trump has said Biden did not know what he was signing and was manipulated by his staff. ff.
Now that Trump admitted not knowing the details of a pardon he signed for the disgraced crypto billionaire, Raju asked Johnson if that worried him, too.
Johnson’s tone was sharp.
“I don’t know anything about that. I didn’t see the interview,” he said. “You’ll have to ask the president about that.”
Trump’s admission has fueled accusations of corruption given how his own family has profited greatly from cryptocurrency trading.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Monday criticized Trump, referencing the president’s baseless lawsuit against News.”60 minutes” for editing his interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris about a month before the 2024 presidential election.
“Maybe he should file a complaint with the FCC against the Trump White House for editing his unhinged 60 Minutes interview.” Schumer wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “He will use the exact same language that Trump presented against Vice President Harris.”
News is facing criticism this morning as Trump’s interview that aired Sunday left out some key parts, including a segment in which Trump boasted about his $16 million deal with Paramount, News’ parent company.
The company decided to settle Trump’s lawsuit over the summer, a controversial move that was widely seen as an effort to clear the way for Trump’s FCC to approve Paramount’s merger with Skydance.

Questioned by correspondent Norah O’Donnell about On the issue, the president blamed Democrats and regurgitated his misleading claim that the Democratic Party wants to give free health care to undocumented immigrants, including criminals. At first glance, Trump’s appearance on ’60 Minutes’ on Sunday was a pretty typical Trump spectacle: The president repeatedly lied about the state of the country under his leadership, gloated to his perceived enemies (including the journalist who interviewed him, News correspondent Norah O’Donnell), and delivered incoherent, empty answers to a growing list of serious questions facing his administration.
But as is often the case when Trump speaks, there were newsworthy nuggets hidden in this word salad. Below are some key takeaways and stories from the interview, which you can view in full here.
- Trump gloated over the lawsuit settlement that forced News, parent company of “60 minutes” – to give him 16 million dollars. News did not air this part of the interview.
- He remains resolute in his support of ICE and the brutal raid tactics its federal agents have deployed against immigrants and American citizens alike in recent months. In fact, Trump said, the ICE raids”I haven’t gone far enough.”
- The cryptocurrency exchange founder convicted of money laundering whom Trump pardoned less than two weeks ago? “I don’t know who he is.”
- As for the biggest elephant in the room (Trump’s ongoing government shutdown), the president didn’t offer any new ideas or solutions. Blame the Democrats.
- The interview included an avalanche of lies and half-truths coming from the president on a variety of topics, including inflation, immigrant crimes and Trump’s role in international conflicts. It’s hard to list them all here, but Zeteo compiled a great list here.

In a post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday, Trump weighed in on the case that will be heard before the U.S. Supreme Court this week, weighing whether he has the authority to impose sweeping tariffs under federal law.
“If a president is not allowed to use tariffs, we will be at a huge disadvantage to all other countries in the world, especially the “big” ones. In the true sense, we would be helpless!” he said, staunchly defending his trade policies.
Trump added that he decided not to appear at Wednesday’s hearing because he doesn’t do it.”I do not want to distract from the importance of this Decision.”
“It will be, in my opinion, one of the most important and consequential decisions ever made by the Supreme Court of the United States. If we win, we will be, BY FAR, the richest and safest country in the world. If we lose, our country could be reduced almost to Third World status. Let’s pray to God that that doesn’t happen!” continuous.

Tariffs have brought us great wealth and national security in the nine months that I have had the honor of serving as President. The stock market has reached all-time highs many times during my short time in office, with virtually no inflation and national security second to none. Our recent successful negotiation with China, and many others, put us in a strong position only because we had tariffs with which to negotiate fair and sustainable agreements. If a president were not able to quickly and nimbly use the power of tariffs, we would be helpless, perhaps even leading to the ruin of our nation. The only people fighting us are the foreign countries that have taken advantage of us for years, the haters of our country, and the Democrats, because our numbers are unbeatably good. I will not be coming to Court on Wednesday because I do not want to distract from the importance of this Decision. The 2025 election, scheduled for next Tuesday, tells an unsurprising story: The backlash against an increasingly unpopular Donald Trump is fueling Democratic and liberal causes across the country, from a gubernatorial race in Virginia to a redistricting referendum in California to the battle for mayor of New York City.
Where the story becomes more interesting, and where the implications become more dire for the Republican Party, is how the Republican candidates in these races have reacted to this backlash. Despite everything, they have not even attempted to distance themselves from the president, in a marked break with the expected political playbook.

In a stark admission during his”60 minutes” In the interview, Trump said he fully supported his administration’s harrowing raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and stated that “”I haven’t gone far enough.”
His remarks came after News correspondent Norah O’Donnell described a series of brutal ICE actions, including federal agents breaking car windows, knocking a woman to the ground and using tear gas in a residential neighborhood.
“Have some of these raids gone too far?” -O’Donnell asked.
“”No, I think they have not gone far enough because we have been stopped by the judges, by the liberal judges who were appointed by Biden and Obama,”” Trump said.
“Do you agree with these tactics?” O’Donnell responded.
“Yes, because we have to get people out,” Trump said.

Actor George Clooney weighed in on former Vice President Kamala Harris’ 2024 run on Sunday, calling her a “mistake” for her to replace then-President Joe Biden as the Democratic presidential candidate.
“I wanted there to be, as I wrote in the op-ed, a primary. Let’s try this quickly and get it going. I think the mistake about being Kamala is that she had to run against her own record. It’s very difficult to do that if the goal of running is to say, ‘I’m not that person.’ It’s hard to do and that’s why she was given a very difficult task.” Clooney said during an appearance on News’ Sunday show.”This morning.” “I think it was a mistake, honestly. But we are where we are. They say we were going to lose more seats in the House. So I don’t know.”
However, Clooney emphasized that he stood by his decision to publish an op-ed in the New York Times calling for Biden to withdraw.
“Not doing so would be saying, ‘I’m not going to tell the truth,’” he said.
He also added that he had seen Hunter Biden’s fierce criticism of him and was not interested in litigating his claims.
“I have many personal opinions on this, but I don’t find it useful to have a public dispute with him,”” Clooney pointed out.

FBI Director Kash Patel took to social media on Sunday to rail against media coverage of his alleged use of a government plane.
“Let me be clear: We will not be distracted by unfounded rumors or the noise of uninformed Internet anarchists and fake news,” Patel wrote on X in an apparent dig at the reports.
He continued: “I’ve always said: criticize me all you want. But going after people who do great work, my personal life or those around me is a total shame.”
Patel’s post comes after The Bulwark reported that he attended a performance his girlfriend, country singer Alexis Wilkins, gave last weekend at Penn State.
The publication noted that a government plane took off from a Northern Virginia airport and landed near Penn State around the same time as Patel’s visit.
That report also acknowledged that the FBI director normally travels on a government plane for security reasons, but that his alleged use in this case was notable given Patel’s previous criticism of how government officials used his planes.
On Friday, Patel allegedly forced Steven Palmer, a 27-year FBI veteran who oversees aviation, to leave the agency due to scrutiny of his flight records, according to Bloomberg Law.
Patel also criticized people who did not speak up in his defense in his post on Sunday.
“To our so-called allies who remain silent: your silence is stronger than that of clickbait haters.” he wrote.

Trump sees tariffs – or the threat of imposing them – as a powerful tool to bend nations to his will.
He has used them in an unprecedented way, not only as a pillar of his economic agenda, but also as a cornerstone of his foreign policy in his second term.
He has used import taxes as a threat to secure ceasefires from warring countries. It has used them to intimidate nations into promising to do more to stop people and drugs from crossing their borders. He has used them, in the case of Brazil, as political pressure because its judicial system prosecuted a former leader who was an ally of Trump, and in a recent confrontation with Canada, as punishment for a television advertisement.
This week, the Supreme Court hears arguments about whether the Republican president has exceeded federal law with many of his tariffs. A ruling against him could limit or even eliminate that rapid and forceful influence on which much of his foreign policy has depended.

Ben Shapiro calls Tucker Carlson a ‘coward’ for normalizing white supremacist Nick Fuentes
Commentator Ben Shapiro joined the chorus of conservative voices denouncing former News host Tucker Carlson for his sympathetic interview with white supremacist Nick Fuentes, which was published last week.
“Those who criticize both Tucker and Heritage are not canceling, but rather drawing a moral line,” Shapiro said in a podcast episode he shared with X on Monday, during which he condemned Carlson’s actions.
“No to groypers. No to cowards like Tucker Carlson who normalize their trash,” Shapiro wrote in the post.
Trump’s threats to Nigeria linked to News segment he watched: CNN
Trump watched a News segment about the treatment of Christians in Nigeria on Air Force One shortly before becoming concerned about the issue and threatening to invade the country, sources told CNN.
One of the sources said Trump is now talking about military action in Africa’s most populous country to “see how Nigeria responds,” calling it an “Art of the Deal” type strategy.
A White House official told CNN that Trump had “been following this issue previously and had already started thinking about clarifying it” before watching the segment.

Laura Loomer now has Pentagon press credentials: report
Trump posts enthusiastic endorsement of Cuomo while attacking Mamdani
After months of reports about ties between the two politicians, Trump posted an emphatic endorsement of former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for New York City mayor, and again threatened to limit federal funding if state Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani won.
“We must also remember this: a vote for Curtis Sliwa (who looks much better without the beret!) is a vote for Mamdani,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Monday urging voters to overlook Sliwa, the Republican nominee. “Whether you personally like Andrew Cuomo or not, you really have no choice. You should vote for him and expect him to do a fantastic job. He’s capable of doing it, Mamdani isn’t!”
Mamdani has long pointed to Cuomo’s relationship with the president as a major vulnerability and argued that he will be “Trump’s puppet” if he is elected mayor.
Pam Bondi Takes ‘Retroactive’ Action Amid Questions About Legitimacy of Comey and James Cases
Trump relentlessly attacked Biden for the same thing he just did
For months, President Donald Trump has aggressively promoted a conspiracy theory suggesting that former President Joe Biden was so mentally disabled that his staff manipulated him into signing documents during his presidency that he had not actually approved.
The wild theory arose from Biden’s use of a pop-open device, a machine that replicates a person’s signature. Presidents have used these types of devices for decades to speed up the signing process, but Trump has been relentless in his attempt to turn Biden’s use into a scandal, suggesting that many of his orders are “VOID.”
That’s what made his admission on “60 Minutes” so surprising.

Schumer criticizes Trump for only partially funding SNAP before Thanksgiving
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer accused Trump of cruelty and failing to comply with court orders by offering only 50% of November SNAP benefits to the 22 million households facing food insecurity.
“Offering partial benefits is not enough, does not comply with the law, and is particularly cruel on Trump’s part with the Thanksgiving season around the corner,” Schumer said on the Senate floor.
The Trump administration announced Monday that SNAP payments, which are at risk of drying up during the government shutdown, would resume in November at half the normal amount. The announcement came days after two separate courts ruled that he must fund the program during the shutdown, which Trump said his lawyers did not consider legal.
“The courts spoke loud and clear: Donald Trump cannot blocking SNAP benefits and treating hungry Americans as political pawns,” Schumer said. “The stories from the weekend were shameful and disgusting: people overwhelming food banks, handing out food instead of Halloween candy, teachers paying out of pocket to give extra food to their students.”
Jeffries accuses GOP of running ‘pedophile protection program’
House Minority Whip Hakeem Jeffries accused the Trump administration and House Speaker Mike Johnson of “running a pedophile protection program” by refusing to swear in Adelita Grijalva (D) of Arizona, who would give House Democrats the numbers to force a vote on releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files.
“The Trump administration and Mike Johnson are running a pedophile protection program; that’s what they’ve been doing, and that’s why they refused to swear in Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva,” Jeffries said at a news conference.

Trump’s Truth Social Media Account Is in a Copy-Paste Backup Tear
He is also fighting tirelessly to keep our now very secure border SAFE, stop immigration crime, strengthen our military/veterans, and defend our Second Amendment, always under siege.”
“French Hill has my complete and total endorsement for re-election. I WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”
All of the posts seem to have absurdly crazy engagement numbers, with most of them routinely getting over 7,000 likes.
US citizen violently dragged from her car by feds on her way to work in Chicago: Report
A U.S. citizen and mother of one, Dayanne Figueroa, told the Chicago Tribune how she found herself in a violent confrontation with federal immigration agents while on her way to work one day last month.

The White House mocks Democrats with a MySpace parody… in 2025
The Trump White House, always on top of what’s hot online, has posted a MySpace parody mocking Democrats on its official government website amid the shutdown.
The page, called “mysafespace,” reflects the once-popular social networking site that fell out of fashion nearly 20 years ago.
“Hi, we’re Democrats in the House and Senate. We love DEI, transgender for all, and giving taxpayer benefits to illegal immigrants,” the “About Me” section of the page reads. “We don’t give a damn if our men and women in uniform get paid or if our neighborhoods are safe. We just love playing politics with people’s livelihoods!!”
The profile lists Democrats’ interests as “ANTIFA, tough guys, drug dealers and illegal criminal aliens.” The “Who I’d like to meet” section reads, “We honestly couldn’t meet enough Antifa members or illegal immigrants. They’re awesome.”
Mike Johnson dodges question about hypocrisy of Trump pardon
CNN’s Manu Raju pointed to House Speaker Mike Johnson, who has sharply criticized former President Joe Biden’s use of an auto-opening device, echoing Trump’s claim that documents signed with the device, such as Biden’s end-of-term pardons, may not be valid. Trump has said Biden didn’t know what he was signing and was manipulated by his staff.
Trump administration says it will pay reduced SNAP benefits for November
The Trump administration said Monday it will pay partial food benefits this month after two federal judges ordered it to do so.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture previously said it could not tap into a contingency fund to pay November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits during the ongoing shutdown.

Schumer criticizes Trump based on his playbook: ‘Maybe I should file a complaint…’
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Monday criticized Trump, referencing the president’s baseless lawsuit against News’ “60 Minutes” over the editing of his interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris about a month before the 2024 presidential election.
“Maybe you should file a complaint with the FCC against the Trump White House for editing your unhinged 60 Minutes interview,” Schumer wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Maybe he should file a complaint with the FCC against the Trump White House for editing his unhinged 60 Minutes interview.
He will use the exact same language that Trump presented against Vice President Harris.

Trump Does Truly Awkward Dance When Questioned About Shutdown Issue
The failure of President Donald Trump and his allies to create a viable health care alternative crystallized in a moment on Sunday’s “60 Minutes.”
Here are the main takeaways, and one thing you didn’t see, from Trump’s ’60 Minutes’ interview
- Trump gloated over the court settlement that forced News, parent company of “60 Minutes,” to hand him $16 million. News did not air this part of the interview.
- He remains resolute in his support of ICE and the brutal raid tactics its federal agents have deployed against immigrants and American citizens alike in recent months. In fact, Trump said, the ICE raids “haven’t gone far enough.”
- The cryptocurrency exchange founder convicted of money laundering whom Trump pardoned less than two weeks ago? “I don’t know who it is.”
Trump says he won’t attend SCOTUS hearing despite major implications for his tariffs
In a post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday, Trump weighed in on the case that will be presented to the Court Supreme Court this week and is considering whether it has the authority to impose sweeping tariffs under federal law.
“If a president is not allowed to use tariffs, we will be at a huge disadvantage to all the other countries in the world, especially the ‘big’ ones. In a sense, we would be helpless!” he said, staunchly defending his trade policies.
Trump added that he decided not to appear at Wednesday’s hearing because he “doesn’t want to distract from the importance of this Decision.”
“It will be, in my opinion, one of the most important and consequential decisions ever made by the United States Supreme Court. If we win, we will be the richest and safest country in the world, BY FAR. If we lose, our country could be reduced to almost Third World status. Pray to God that doesn’t happen!” continuous.
The 2025 elections have a Trump-shaped trap for Republicans
The 2025 election, scheduled for next Tuesday, tells an unsurprising story: The backlash against an increasingly unpopular Donald Trump is fueling Democratic and liberal causes across the country, from a gubernatorial race in Virginia to a redistricting referendum in California to the battle for mayor of New York City.
Where the story becomes more interesting, and where the implications become more dire for the Republican Party, is how the Republican candidates in these races have reacted to this backlash. Despite everything, they have not even attempted to distance themselves from the president, in a marked break with the expected political playbook.

‘Probably illegal!’: Trump launches new deranged attack on ‘WORST’ host in TV history
Over the weekend, Trump once again raged against a television personality, this time directing his ire toward “Late Night” host Seth Meyers.
“NBC’s Seth Meyers may be the least talented live ‘acter’ in the history of television,” Trump complained on his Truth Social website on Saturday. “In fact, he may be the WORST to perform, live or otherwise.”
Trump says harrowing ICE raids ‘haven’t gone far enough’
In a blunt admission during his “60 Minutes” interview, Trump said he fully supported his administration’s harrowing raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and said they “haven’t gone far enough.”
His remarks came after News correspondent Norah O’Donnell described a series of brutal ICE actions, including federal agents breaking car windows, knocking a woman to the ground and using tear gas in a residential neighborhood.
“Have some of these raids gone too far?” O’Donnell asked.
“No, I think they haven’t gone far enough because the judges, the liberal judges who were appointed by Biden and Obama, have held us back,” Trump said.
“Do you agree with those tactics?” O’Donnell responded.
“Yes, because you have to get people out,” Trump said.
Trump says he “will not be extorted” by Democrats and avoids negotiating as shutdown drags on
Trump says he “will not be blackmailed” by Democrats to reopen the government, making clear he has no plans to negotiate as the government shutdown soon enters its sixth week.
In an interview on News’ “60 Minutes” that aired Sunday, Trump said Democrats demanding an extension of health care subsidies “have lost their way” and predicted they will eventually capitulate to Republicans who have said they will not negotiate until they vote to reopen the government.
