Stephen Colbert showers Trump with uncomfortable golden reminder

The simple green interior is gone, replaced by an abundance of marble, which Trump said was “appropriate” for the era of President Abraham Lincoln.

“It makes a lot of sense,” Colbert responded. “Because during the Civil War, Lincoln used to spend the night at Caesars Palace in Gettysburg.”

“It has everything a bathroom needs,” Colbert said. “A shimmering chandelier over the toilet, floor-to-wall-to-floor MC Escher style, and of course, gold bathroom fixtures,” Colbert said. “Because Trump likes… well, he said it best.”

With that, he showed a clip of Trump at a 2023 campaign event that outlines one of the most salacious allegations in a discredited dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele.

“Golden showers, as they say they call them,” Trump said.
