The wife of California Governor Gavin Newsom has just proven that she and her husband reside in a house that goes backwards.
During a press conference Monday in San Francisco to urge voters to support Proposition 50, a major redistricting initiative, California’s first member, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, shifted her focus to the “fight for democracy” and how she plans to raise her four children: Montana, 16; Hunter, 14; Brooklyn, 12; and Dutch, 9, during President Donald Trump’s term.
“I will not raise my children to think that Donald Trump is an acceptable American leader,” said Sibel Newsom. “Nor that he is how the leader of our great country should behave. I will not raise you to think that your terror enables your power and that your greed equals success. It is the exact opposite of what true strength looks like.”
The former actor went on to say that she and her husband will continue to instill the values of “what strength really looks like,” which includes “always, always telling the truth,” a quality she believes Trump’s parents did not teach him and whose absence has contributed to the current state of the country.

“On the contrary, Trump is enriching his immediate family and his cronies,” he said. “He’s stripping us of our rights and our democracy. When he knows he’s going to lose, he cheats. When the game isn’t rigged for him, he rigs it himself.”
Sibel Newsom was greeted with loud applause at this point in her speech, but her defeat against Trump was far from over.
