Trump Was Caught Napping During a White House Event and Gavin Newsom Has the Perfect Troll

Hey, we all tend to fall asleep while listening to the nonsense of a daytime talk show host like Dr. Mehmet Oz..

But when you have a daytime talk show host be the Administrator of the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services talking to reporters in the Oval Office, falling asleep isn’t the best look.

And Governor Gavin Newsom (D) highlighted exactly that in his latest troll message directed at President Donald Trump..

On Thursday, Trump was seen with his eyes closed at several points during his administration’s announcement about lowering the prices of certain weight-loss drugs for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. One moment, caught by CSPANTrump can be seen struggling to fight Sandman while listening to Oz spout fatphobic rhetoric 25 minutes into the White House event.

But, in case we needed more proof of how sleepy Trump was, here we see him completely asleep in a photograph captured by Getty photojournalist Andrew Harnik.

In response to Trump’s napping antics at the event, Newsom’s press office decided to revive a nickname it had used for the president in the past.

“DOZY DON IS BACK!” the account wrote, along with a photo of Harnik and a snippet of the CSPAN footage.

Newsom has used the nickname, which is presumably a play on Trump’s nickname “Sleepy Joe” for former President Joe Biden, in the past. particularly when Trump fought to keep his eyes open during a White House roundtable on antifa last month. Still, The nickname “Sleepy Don” was widely used by social media users. when Dr. Oz appeared to put Trump in a catatonic state during a “Making Health Tech Great Again” event at the White House in July.

And to pinpoint just how out of it Trump appeared at the White House on Thursday, shortly after fainting during Dr. Oz’s speech, he reacted like this when a guest at the meeting fainted. (It should be noted that Karoline Leavitt, White House press secretary He said the man was fine.and was a representative of one of the healthcare companies present).
