Valerie Bertinelli perhaps proved the old saying that blondes have more fun, at least when they fool people.
The former Food Network and “One Day At A Time” star debuted a striking blonde hairstyle on Instagram on Monday, writing “New hair, who is it?”
But just below he added: “(it’s a wig).” And a very convincing one.
The “Hot in Cleveland” alum pulled back the curtain on her ruse in an Instagram Story.
“So yeah, it’s a wig. And I have no idea how to take it off,” she said as she struggled to remove the hairpiece. It is said that it is for a role.
Bertinelli is expected to reveal more in his upcoming book, “Getting Naked: The Quiet Work Of Becoming Perfectly Imperfect.”

Bertinelli, dressed in her traditional brunette color, wrote in another Instagram entry on Monday that she was turning in her issues. He recited an entry from his book about dealing with adversity. “Accepting negative experiences can be a positive experience,” he said, citing writer Alan Watts’ “Backwards Law.”
Bertinelli currently hosts “Bingo Blitz” on the Game Show Network.
