After playing several clips of pro-MAGA pundits calling Epstein’s files “an attempt to smear the president,” “a distraction” and “a bit of a game,” the host jose johnson He thought their attempts to sweep the story under the rug were pretty lackluster.

“If you want to make light of this story, you need a teacher, okay?” Johnson said. “Megyn Kelly, you’re a master of the spin. Show us what you’ve got.”

The show aired a clip of Kelly saying that the disgraced financier “didn’t like 8-year-olds. But he liked very young teenagers.” Another clip was played of Kelly stating, “There’s a difference between a 15-year-old and a 5-year-old, you know?”

The latter caused the entire studio audience of “The Daily Show” to collectively groan.

After the audience calmed down a bit, Johnson asked Kelly, who was a lawyer before pursuing a career in media, a pointed question: “How the hell was Megyn Kelly ever a lawyer?”

Johnson then mocked how Kelly must have sounded in court.

“’Your Honor, my client only engages in dietary pedophilia!’”

Johnson then concluded:

“Ma’am, everyone knows that there is a big difference between a 15-year-old and a 5-year-old. But everyone also knows that there is never a good reason to talk about that difference.”
