How AI is making IVF more predictable
NEWNow you can listen to News articles!
In vitro fertilization (IVF) can take a serious toll on families, not only emotionally but also financially, especially when each cycle comes with new bills and there is no clear idea of what the entire journey might cost. Gaia Family aims to change that by taking the guesswork out of pricing with a combination of technology and AI-based forecasting. Instead of worrying about unpredictable costs, couples pay a fixed upfront price or monthly installments that cover planned IVF treatment, medications, embryo transfers, and built-in protections if cycles or transfers are unsuccessful. It gives families a clearer path forward and support that lasts throughout the process.

ROBOTS DRIVE ADVANCE IN PREGNANCY RESEARCH, BOOSTING IVF SUCCESS RATES

How the Gaia family was born
Gaia Family was founded by Nader AlSalim, a former Goldman Sachs executive who knew the IVF struggle firsthand. After spending more than $50,000 on five rounds of IVF in several countries, he and his wife finally had a child. The experience left him frustrated by how little clarity the system offered and how emotionally draining the process could be.
He saw that most fertility systems were based on procedures, not people. Their goal with Gaia Family was to create something different, a program that uses data to empower families instead of leaving them at the mercy of uncertainty and mounting debt. That personal experience became the foundation of Gaia Family’s mission to bring agency, transparency and compassion to fertility care.

How the Gaia Family plan works
- Choose your clinic: Gaia partners with over 100 fertility clinics across the US.
- Get your personalized quote: Your doctor designs your treatment plan and Gaia uses it to calculate your fixed cost in advance.
- Start with confidence: Pay monthly or in advance and then begin treatment knowing that all your major expenses are covered.
If a cycle does not result in viable embryos, Gaia’s built-in protection covers another attempt, helping families try again without financial shock. Once you have viable embryos, your Gaia Plan allows you unlimited frozen embryo transfers (usually $5,000 each) at no additional cost until you have a baby. And, if none of those transfers result in a live birth, Gaia will give you money for another cycle. Plus, you have the option to include all of your PGT-A testing and medications for one flat cost, so you have even more protection during your trip. AlSalim, tells CyberGuy that the company’s mission goes beyond technology.
“At Gaia Family, we use AI not to replace the human element of fertility care, but to give you more confidence,” AlSalim said. “Fertility treatment can seem like a gamble—our technology helps make it a guided, informed journey. By analyzing millions of data points, we can forecast the most effective and affordable path for each individual, so patients can make decisions based on data rather than uncertainty. Ultimately, it’s about giving hopeful parents more agency, transparency and peace of mind in one of the most emotional experiences of their lives.”

Why the Gaia family model is important
IVF in the United States can cost up to $30,000 per cycle and most couples need several attempts. Each failed attempt adds more bills and stress. Gaia Family’s fixed cost model provides families with financial predictability while keeping them emotionally supported. It also encourages clinics to focus on results rather than repeated treatments.
This approach is transforming the way people view fertility care. Instead of relying on luck, families can benefit from AI insights to make better decisions. While it still may not reduce medical costs, it changes the way couples experience one of life’s most emotional challenges, turning fear into informed planning and despair into hope. Gaia eliminates rising costs, making couples’ outcomes much more profitable.
What does this mean to you?
If you’re thinking about IVF or egg freezing, Gaia Family’s model could make your path more manageable. Provides upfront cost transparency, financial loss protection, and data-driven success forecast. Helps you make decisions based on evidence instead of guesswork.
Still, while AI can analyze data patterns, it can’t alter biology. Factors such as age, health and genetics continue to shape the results. Still, Gaia Family’s system gives couples a sense of control that traditional fertility care rarely provides, catering to everyone, with no eligibility criteria in terms of age or health factors. Knowing that your finances are protected can relieve stress and allow you to focus on what is most important: raising your family.
