While you were sleeping: here are the 239 words Trump posted after midnight
President Donald Trump spent part of his Sunday afternoon posting and reposting a series of over-the-top messages, including attacks on Democratic lawmakers, certain Republicans and obstructionists.
A message shared by the president on his Truth Social website called for military courts, stating that “the justice system has been corrupt.” Several called for prison terms for veteran Democrats in Congress who urged members of the military to disobey illegal orders.
And at 12:15 a.m., he posted a long message pressing the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on the “urgent and pressing issue” of his tariffs, insisting that the “full benefit” from them has not yet arrived.
Trump also appeared to have started signing his title and name, as he often does, but stopped abruptly with “President.”
He wrote:

Trump’s sweeping tariffs are the subject of a case pending before the Supreme Court.
If the ruling goes against him (and there have been some signs that the judges are skeptical of his argument), he could be forced to refund tariffs already paid, which he warned in another social media post would cost the country $2 trillion.
It’s unclear how he arrived at that figure, but he did say the judges were given “the wrong numbers” when the case was argued earlier this month.
