House Speaker Mike Johnson’s loyalty to President Donald Trump may not be embarrassing enough.

Now she’s giving her critics something else to think about: an attempt at trying to be cool on Katie Miller’s podcast. (Watch the video below).

In a sneak peek shared Monday by Miller — a former Trump administration spokesperson who is married to White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller — she asked Johnson, “Do you know who Jelly Roll is?”

Johnson could have opted for a simple statement. Instead, the Louisiana Republican said indignantly, “Do I know?” and waved a Hawaiian “shaka” or “loose” sign, with only his thumbs and pinkies extended. (One of his hands, however, had three fingers pointing up.)

“Yeah, we took selfies together,” Johnson continued, referring to a photo Johnson took with the rapper and singer and Kid Rock at a UFC event in November 2024.

Johnson’s painful moment of embarrassment should come as no surprise. The terminal legislator joined the right-wing echo chamber by criticizing the NFL’s choice of Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl halftime show.

Your idea for an alternative?

“In my opinion, Lee Greenwood or role models would do that,” he said.

Greenwood, 83, is perhaps best known these days for playing “God Bless the USA” at Trump events.

Johnson was joined in the interview by his wife, Kelly, who in one excerpt talked about how men’s brains are like “waffles” with “little compartments.”

No, just not, Mike Johnson.
