Use the Help a Friend feature in Find My
If you need to borrow someone else’s iPhone, avoid logging in directly to their device. That triggers security checks that you can’t complete without your lost phone. Instead, use Help a Friend within the Find My app:
- Open find my on your friend’s iPhone
- Scroll to Help a friend
- Login with your Apple ID
- See the lbest known location from your iPhone

If Find My was never enabled, you need to retrace your steps. You can check ‘Your Timeline’ in Google Maps if you use that app and have location history turned on.
