Kourtney Kardashian talks about not feeling ready to become a mother at 30
Kourtney Kardashian Barker is getting candid about the struggles she faced when she became a mother in her 30s.
During the latest episode of “The Kardashians,” the reality star, 46, said she didn’t feel like she had any guidance before giving birth to her eldest son, Mason, who is now 15.
“When I was 30 and had Mason, no one told me what to do, I didn’t read any books, but what I felt, my maternal instinct, was to be an attachment mother,” the mother of four said in a confessional.
Kardashian Barker said she became “more intentional” before her daughter, Penelope, was born in 2012.
“However, before I had Penelope, I read the book on attachment parenting and it was more intentional,” she shared during the Nov. 27 episode. “And even though I was working, I didn’t really think it was an option not to work. Now I have the option not to work and I feel grateful to be able to find what I connect with.”

In October 2023, the reality star shut down internet trolls who criticized her for getting pregnant with Rocky at age 44.
“These comments do not affect me. To those who make them I only say: How dare you question God’s plan?” he told Vanity Fair Italia. “Because that’s how I see this pregnancy, which in fact came when both Travis and [Barker] “And I didn’t even think about it and after a year we stopped trying with assisted fertilization.”
In August, the “Keeping up with the Kardashians” alum dismissed rumors that she was pregnant again.
Under an August 8 Instagram carousel post about her family’s trip to Idaho, one social media user commented, “You’re rumored to be pregnant, Kourtney.”
“Eating pancakes,” he joked in response, adding, “and jumping off cliffs.”
