Sabrina Carpenter criticizes the White House for using her music for a disgusting reason
Sabrina Carpenter is keeping his message short and sweet.
On Tuesday, the “Espresso” singer attacked the President donald trump and the White House after they used one of their songs in an Immigration and Customs Enforcement propaganda video.
“This video is evil and disgusting,” the Grammy winner wrote on X. “Don’t ever implicate me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”

On Monday, the White House posted a video for X which shows clips of ICE agents arresting people.
The song they chose to back up this horrific montage was “Juno,” a risqué song in which Carpenter sings about enjoying sex with her partner so much that she is willing to let them get her pregnant, like the main character in the 2007 Diablo Cody film.

The White House video begins with brief clips of anti-ICE people protesting and filming agents, while the lyrics to “Juno,” “Do you want to try some weird positions?” plays in the background.
The video then cuts to clips of people arrested by ICE in different positions, such as handcuffed and lying on the ground, with the lyrics “Have you ever tried this?” playing every time someone gets arrested.
The video ends with the lyrics “I know you want my touch for life” as an ICE agent chases someone down a street.

“Have you ever tried this?” wrote the White House in the caption of the video. “Bye 👋😍.”
The “Manchild” singer is by no means the only musician to oppose the Trump administration using his music without permission in an attempt to normalize its harsh crackdown on immigration.
In March, the band Semisonic told News themezone in a statement that they “did not authorize or approve the use of our song by the White House in any way” after he used his 1998 hit “Closing Time” in an ICE video.
“The song is about joy, possibilities and hope, and they haven’t understood a thing,” the band said.
The Trump administration has a long history of using artists’ music without permission, prompting many to speak out. This includes (but not limited to) the Rolling Stones, Linkin Park, Neil Young, Black Sabbath, Rihanna, Adele and the estate of Prince and Tom Petty.

In October, Kenny Loggins harshly criticized the president for his “unauthorized use” of his hit “Danger Zone,” which served as the backdrop for an infamous AI video in which Trump dropped poop on “No Kings” protesters from a plane.
“No one asked me for permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording in this video be deleted immediately,” Loggins told variety in a statement.
