Kim Kardashian says Kanye West accused her of faking his 2016 robbery
In October 2016, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint by a group of men who broke into her Paris hotel room in the early hours of the morning. The masked intruders stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry, including her engagement ring, and Kim described the attack as “seven or eight minutes of torture.”

Speaking to David Letterman in 2020, Kim said she was tied up and restrained with zip ties, duct tape, and handcuffs. The thief threw her into a bathtub while they ransacked her room, apparently using duct tape to cover her eyes and mouth.
As deeply traumatic as it was for Kim, there are many people who have publicly accused her of faking the incident, and it seems Kanye West was one of them.

“My ex-husband had said, ‘And you faked your robbery for a TV show,’ and he had said it in front of all these people,” Kim said on the latest episode of The Kardashians. “That was a knife in my heart.”

“Just to think that someone wouldn’t believe you, that they’re so close to you, that they should know you, that they should know how much that affected your life, it really bothered me,” she continued, visibly emotional. “You don’t know who I am.”

Kim didn’t specify exactly when this happened, but she and Kanye were married at the time of the robbery. Notably, Kanye was on tour and stopped a show in New York City midway through his set upon learning of the “family emergency” that had taken place overseas.

Kim and Kanye divorced in early 2021, and since then, Kanye’s career has spiraled into deeply problematic and troubling behavior. He has publicly harassed Kim and her family and, suffice to say, it appears the exes are not on friendly terms.
In case there was still any doubt, Kim’s robbery was definitely not a hoax. In May of this year, he testified for six hours before a Paris court. “To finally go to trial and face these people and hear their stories and apologies, I’m like, ‘Look, guys, it was real,’” Kim said, tears welling in her eyes. kardashian confessional. “I’m glad it’s over.”

Reflecting on her mindset upon entering the courtroom, Kim said, “I’m just not nervous. It was less than 10 minutes of my life. I’ve lived an incredible life. That’s always given me a little peace, just knowing (what was it? Eight, nine minutes?) of pure terror and panic isn’t going to ruin me.”
