Trump takes out an unusual approval maneuver in Arizona
President Donald Trump added another support in the Republican primaries next year to the governor of Arizona, saying on Monday that he was supporting the United States representative, Andy Biggs, in addition to his previously announced approval of the Housing Developer Karrin Taylor Robson.
Trump’s support for Robson at the end of last year enraged some of his greatest allies in the state, which suspect his long data with the Republican commercial establishment and preferred a candidate with deep roots in the “Make America Great Again” movement of Trump.
A former president of the Caucus de Libertad of the House of Representatives of the House of Representatives and the former president of the state Senate, Biggs has long been an ally close to Trump and supported his false statements about the 2020 presidential elections that are stolen. Biggs represents an intense red district that includes cities such as Queen Creek and Gilbert, and has ties with the bases of the party.
Biggs has had no problem challenging the leadership of the party, such as when he and seven other Republicans of the House of Representatives helped expel Kevin McCarthy as president of the House of Representatives in 2023.
“When Andy Biggs decided to run for governor, unexpectedly, I had a problem: two fantastic candidates, two excellent people, two wonderful champions and, therefore, it is a great honor to give my complete and total support to both,” Trump said Monday in a publication in Truth Social.

In a failed 2022 race for the governor, Robson was closely aligned with the former conservatives of Arizona. She campaigned with the Republicans who had fallen from Trump’s good thanks, including former governor Doug Ducey and former vice president Mike Pence, while Trump campaigned for former television news presenter Kari Lake. Lake won the Republican primaries and lost to the current Democratic governor Katie Hobbs.
This time, Robson has been seeking to eliminate light of the day between her and the president, hugging him with enthusiasm and his policies while promoting herself as the candidate with Trump’s support.
In double support, Robson expressed his gratitude to Trump for his support.
“I can’t wait to be in the governor’s office as a partner of its conservative, the first United States agenda,” he said in a statement. “Forward!”

Sea noble, general consultant of the Biggs campaign, said the campaign is “excited” for the back, but also expected it to be for the two candidates given Trump’s previous support to Robson.
“Since Robson had leaned both in support and his premise to be in the race, he questions if he should remain in the race,” he said.
Trump is no stranger to dual endorsements. Since 2017, he has supported multiple candidates who compete for the same position in six races, including Robson and Biggs, according to News’s analysis. In the United States Senate race in 2022 in Missouri, he backed “Eric”, the first name of two Republican candidates competing for the nomination. A triple support occurred in 2024 in the race of the governor of Missouri when Trump supported Jay Ashcroft, Mike Kehoe and Bill Eigel.
