Elon Musk says he
Elon Musk said in the disastrous call of profits of Tesla on Tuesday that he will soon spend time working with the so -called government efficiency department, that President Donald Trump took advantage of it to lead and supervise the mass cuts to government spending.
“The great work slug necessary to put the Doge team in place and work with the government so that the financial house is made mostly, and I think that from probably next month, May, my allocation of time to Doge will decrease significantly,” he said.
Musk’s announcement occurred when Tesla’s profits fell dramatically, and the electric car company reported 71% less net income compared to a year ago, when it earned $ 1.39 billion. His income also fell, losing the expectations of Wall Street in around $ 1.8 billion.

He said that he still hopes to dedicate at least some time to work with the Trump administration, which, through Doge, has fired hundreds of thousands of federal workers and destroyed funds for medical research, school lunch initiatives, staffing of personnel in national parks and forests, and a litany of other programs.
“I will have to continue doing so, I think, the rest of the president’s term, just to make sure that the waste and fraud we stopped does not return,” said the CEO of Tesla.
“I will continue to spend one or two days a week in government matters while the president would like him to do so, while it is useful,” he said.
Musk also addressed the increase in protests against him, affirming without foundation that they are false manifestations “paid” by their political rivals, a common conversation of the Republicans lately.
“The protests you see there are very organized. They are paid,” he said. “Obviously they will not admit that the reason they protest is because they are receiving fraudulent money.”
He also said that annoying Americans with the cuts he has been doing were only people who prospered with the waste of the government.

“The natural setback … are those who received the wasteful dollars … they will try to attack me,” he said.
The timeline that Musk offered on Tuesday about his plans to spend less time working with Doge is faster than Trump shared earlier this month.

“There is a point where Elon has to leave,” Trump told reporters on April 3, adding that he believes that time could arrive in “a few months.”
“I think Elon is great,” Trump said. “But I also had to execute several companies.”
A survey from the University of Quinnipiac this month discovered that voters are losing confidence in Musk. The survey found that 57% of Americans, including 16% of Republicans, believe that “it has too much power in decision making that affect the United States.” That figure rose 2 percentage points since February.
