Ben Affleck refused to buy his son $ 6,000 sneakers, reveals the work of his children

Ben Affleck ensures that his three children learn the value of working for a payment check.

The Oscar winner explained why he is causing his three children to have a “classic teenagers” jobs while talking to Jenna Bush Hager and Andy Cohen while promoting her new movie “The Accountant 2” in the episode on Tuesday of “Today With Jenna & Friends.”

“You love your children. You want to give them everything and do everything for them,” said Affleck, who added that not teaching them to win the things they want, “you definitely hurt them a bad service.”

The theme arose when the group discussed a viral video of the 13 -year -old son, Samuel Affleck, reviewing a couple of very expensive kicks during a shoe convention last month.

Affleck said he quickly closed the conversation when his son asked him if he could hook a couple of Dior Air Jordan 1 highly collectible.

“These sneakers cost $ 6,000, what are you talking about?” He remembered himself by saying. “What are you going to do, cut lawn? Do you have $ 6,000?”

“He was like, ‘We have the money,'” recalled the “Gone Girl” star. “I thought, ‘I have the money! You are bankrupt.'”

When asked if his two older children, Violet, 19, and Seraphina, 16, had ways to earn pocket money, Affleck told the hosts: “In fact, one just had a job, the type of classic teenager who worked in a store.”

“My oldest at University is working and trying to obtain an internship for summer,” he said about his ex -wife and ex -wife Jennifer Garner, who is currently studying at Yale.

Back to his youngest son, Affleck said he told his son: “Well, if you want [the shoes]you can work 1,000 hours. “

“Minimum wage,” he added. “And once I work 1,000 hours, you may not want to spend that on a couple of sneakers.”
