The rock icon Carlos Santana suffered a medical emergency before his concert in San Antonio, Texas, on Tuesday, and the performance was postponed, according to the reports.

The San Antonio Fire Department told Mysanantonio.com that a medical team responded to a possible fainting around 5 PM in the Majestic Theater and that the 77 -year -old man was transported to a hospital in the area.

Citing Fuentes, TMZ wrote that the collapse occurred during a sound test. The video obtained by the entertainment site supposedly shows Santana being taken to a stretcher to an ambulance that awaits, but the staff is darkened mainly by the staff.

His manager, Michael Vrionis, said the cause was dehydration.

“Mr. Santana was in the place (Majestic Theater) preparing for the show tonight when he experienced an event that was determined that was dehydration,” Vrionis said in a statement to the theater on Facebook. “By caution and health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the program was the most prudent course of action. He is going well and hopes to return to San Antonio soon, as well as continue his tour of the United States.”

News has communicated with Santana’s team for an update.

According to reports, dehydration was also behind Santana’s collapse during a concert in 2022.

Santana, considered one of the most innovative Rock ‘N’ Roll guitarists, exploded on the scene with a memorable performance in Woodstock with his band of the same name in 1969.
