Successes of the Danish legislator
A key Danish political leader is urging US lawmakers to intervene as President Donald Trump steps up his threats to take control of Greenland.
“If I could give any advice, it would be for the Senate and the House to start taking control of political power in the United States, because with this crazy and erratic behavior, the question has to be asked: Is the president capable of governing the United States?” Lars-Christian Brask, vice president of the Danish parliament, told Sky News.
Greenland is a semi-autonomous Danish territory, but Trump has become increasingly belligerent in his attempt to seize the island, saying “one way or another, we are going to have Greenland” and refusing to rule out the use of military force.

Brask also criticized Trump for “threatening a friend,” noting that Denmark has been an ally for more than two centuries and that its soldiers have fought and died in the US-led wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“What else do we have to do to maintain and preserve the friendship?” asked.
