Tucker Carlson on Wednesday condemned Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s comments about ICU nurse Alex Pretti, who was shot and killed by Border Patrol agents last weekend in Minneapolis.

In the wake of Pretti’s murder, Noem referred to him as a “domestic terrorist” and claimed that he had attacked the officers. Circulated videos of the incident and sworn statements contradicted DHS claims. Mention He also alleged that Pretti stopped a police operation without providing any evidence.

On Wednesday’s episode of “The Tucker Carlson Show,” Carlson seemed sympathetic to the Trump administration.

“I think the Trump administration is in a very difficult situation right now. I think they know they are. I think for political and humanitarian reasons, for love of country reasons, I’m being honest, they want to fix this, but it’s complex all the way through.”

Carlson, however, didn’t have as much sympathy for Noem.

“It was just outrageous for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to go up there and criticize Alex Pretti,” he said.

Carlson’s journalist and guest author, Michael Shellenberger, described Noem’s remarks about Pretti as “dehumanizing and disgusting.” Carlson agreed.

“We didn’t create life, we can’t, we’re not capable of doing it and when it’s over, I don’t care who it is, we have to bow down to the mystery of death and take it seriously,” Carlson said. “You can never make fun of someone. You know what I mean?”
