Crans-Montana, Switzerland – Lindsey Vonn crashed on her final downhill before the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics on Friday.

Vonn lost control while performing a jump in a World Cup race and ended up tangled in safety nets.

He finally got up after receiving medical attention and walked away cautiously, taking weight off his left knee and using his poles to stabilize himself. He then put his skis back on, but stopped to check his left knee.

Vonn, 41, has been the circuit’s downhill leader this season, having returned last season after a partial titanium replacement in her right knee.

The accident occurred exactly one week before the opening ceremony of Milan Cortina.

Vonn’s first Olympic race is the women’s downhill on February 8.

Last month, she rachieved a surprisingly quick victory in a World Cup downhill in St. Moritz to take his first win in almost eight years, and his first in his return with titanium implants in his right knee after a five-year retirement.
