Lady Gaga paused her concert in Tokyo, Japan, to deliver a political message condemning the actions of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement during Donald Trump’s presidency.

Gaga, whose U.S. leg of her “Mayhem Ball” world tour begins next month, sat at a piano and told fans she wanted to “talk about something that is extremely important to me, something important to people all over the world and especially in America right now.”

And he added: “In a couple of days I will return home and my heart hurts thinking about the people, the children, the families across the United States who are being mercilessly attacked by ICE.”

“I’m thinking about all their pain and how their lives are being destroyed right in front of us,” continued the pop star, who has rebuked Trump in the past. “I’m also thinking about Minnesota and everyone at home living in so much fear and looking for answers about what we should all do.”

She lamented: “When entire communities lose their sense of security and belonging, something breaks in all of us.”

He then added: “We need to return to a place of security, peace and responsibility. Good people should not have to fight so hard and risk their lives for well-being and respect, and I hope our leaders are listening. I hope they hear us ask them to change their course of action quickly and to have mercy on everyone in our country.”
